I gotta say, I'm rather bummed as to the fate of this story. It didn't deserve to die the death it did. A fascinating twist I've not seen before, good writing, actually competent characterization, it had it all. I'll give a follow and a fav anyways, just in case, but more likely it'll have to live on in our memories.

I enjoyed your story. Quite a bit I might add. I find it highly unlikely you will ever come back to this story, after over 6 years, but if you find it in you to write a new story, or even just continue this one, it would be most appreciated. You are a talented author, and I will be following you in hopes of more from you.

I’m very much enjoying the story so far, though I know I’m in for disappointment as it’s abandoned. Regardless, I did like your explanations for the Imperius Curse, the only thing that bothers me is how powerful the third level is. By itself it isn’t too bad, seeing as someone as powerful as Bellatrix almost died just casting it, but with Harry’s “upgrades” I fail to see how it would be anything but an instant win button. From your explanations it did sound like it went up in levels, from 1 to 2 to 3, rather than just an automatic third level of control, and therefore that allows the victim to fight off the control before it “takes” as you said.

I liked that detail of the Longbottoms recovering, and it makes a lot of sense since Bellatrix wasn’t there

Good idea to just alert the right people to the kidnapping and let social circles do their work, considering what society Lucius lives in.
