Reviews for To Love, And All It Entails
Guest chapter 2 . 12/27/2015
Got interrupted again by the nightly walk and shower... So now I'm warm, cozy, and eating leftover Christmas tamales and where do I jump back in? The reunification scene after the Thanksgiving trip. Ahh, the sweet innocence of new love, of not knowing where you stand but being so desperately happy to see someone and knowing that in seeing them you are home. :). I don't want this to end because then I have to end the cozy weekend with writing notes... fortunately there is still more! -C
Guest chapter 2 . 12/27/2015
The obsession with the other is such a fine line to walk. If we spent the majority of our waking moments thinking about sports or a movie or book people would call us unhealthily obsessed. Yet, when in love, you really do think about the other person ALL the time. Oh, sure you can still function (I guess if you couldn't fxn at all and spent ALL your time thinking of the other it would fall into the unhealthy category) and you can still focus on other things... But that other person is always there, permeating your life and thoughts. You wonder what they are doing, you see, hear, or read something neat and you remind yourself to share it with them, you look forward to seeing them next. It is sweet and innocent and a sign that your life has become so intertwined that there isn't a clear delination of self anymore... Because life isn't the same anymore and never will be again. Watching his thoughts, his reaction to the ways she now permeates his life, his heart, and his soul is lovely. His point of view is such a joy to read. - C

Got distracted by the husband... :) then I settled back into reading and couldn't get over the playful banter. I feel like Snape shouldn't be a playful banterer... and yet here it is perfect, yet again. - C
Guest chapter 2 . 12/27/2015
Apparently I'm live-reviewing my thoughts. If I weren't on my phone maybe I would have opened up a note file and typed as I went along, but I'm not... so piecemeal is easier. One thing I absolutely maintain is someone isn't ready for a relationship until they are ok being alone. Relationships don't fix baggage, issues, depression, or loneliness. They just don't. To have a healthy relationship you have to be OK with who and where you are. Not to say that a healthy, strong relationship won't help you carry your baggage (just like you will help carry your partner's) or won't help take the twinge out of not belonging in some setting or baseline loneliness (we have all experienced being lonely surrounded by others) or won't inspire you and challenge you to be the best versions of yourself, all the time supported in that transformation. It is in a healthy relationship you realize what Severus realizes at the beginning of this chapter... There was a way life was BEFORE that was livable and now that he's experienced the AFTER, here just merely friendship still, with Hermione he truly sees how she compliments and adds to his life in ways he didn't expect or think he needed... Hence only truly realizing how lonely life was AFTER she is in his life. You write mature and real love so perfectly! Also, his internal thoughts while she is suffering through the potion, and while carrying her up the stairs, are perfect. New love and that awkward transition is so exciting! - Camille

Books didn't interest him, hah! A definite sign of preoccupation. :) I love how the signs are there... unconsciously the stage is being set but he doesn't conciously realize what is developing yet. This story makes me feel so warm and happy! -Camille

Had to log out because it won't let me do another review... I get the purpose of such a policy, but frankly, some stories require more than one review. Like this one. Anyways, I had to stop, right after he walks her home, and comment. The way he comforts her when she's cries... lovely. The conversation over tea is one of the moments that made me fall so hard the first time I read it... his entertainment about S.P.E.W. and the fact he mentions it... :). Hah! And then the initial need to invite her to shop with him, the amusement over the driving suggestion... The way you write them is so inspired and real. Perfect cozy afternoon read! - Camille

Absolutely lovely. Seeing their relationship slowly unfold was the most believable love story I've read in a long time. This has definitely moved way up there on my favorite story list. I hope you have more short little fluff pieces in the future!
Camille chapter 2 . 8/2/2015
I really wish we were able to see Snape's POV more often. This is the most lovely story I've read of yours yet.
Camille chapter 1 . 8/1/2015
Absolutely lovely. There aren't enough HGSS stories from Snape's POV! I think you consistently write some of the most natural development of acquaintance turned unexpected friend turned lover that I've ever read. For what amounts to such a common development of love, I don't think that is what is often written these days. So often we just see depictions of love at first sight or hate-fight-suddenly in love scenarios... Which just isn't real life. This reads as a beautiful, fully plausible love story.
