IS6A6E chapter 65 . 9/9 personally, I'm glad you don't write lemon scenes. I hate them |
IS6A6E chapter 3 . 9/4 I'd thought Robin would be getting his lightning bolt like sword. |
IS6A6E chapter 2 . 9/4 Love the chemistry you have with Robin here. |
GMC chapter 67 . 7/7 Late by nearly a decade, but... THANK YOU RAMIX! And also metallover too I guess you did kinda write stuff so that's pretty cool I'd say- |
AlphaJPM chapter 67 . 12/7/2023 I found this story way too late, but oh my God, this was so great. From the shifting POV's, to looking at some of the more forgotten side characters (I'm looking at you Kellam) to the masterful add-ons you put in the story that feel like they were actually Canon. The ending brought tears to my eyes, saddened that the journey of this story was done. Now, as a last little bit, I know you said you weren't writing a sequal to this and I fully support that, but in my mind, what would be really great, is if we get a small little short story segment (the length of one Chapter at most) looking at Robin's life a few years down the road. Will that ever happen? Probably not, but hey, one man can dream, and as Robin clearly showed, with enough bonds, determination, and a bit of luck, anything is possible. But overall, thank you, thank you for this amazing story that has touched me to my very core. |
Anon chapter 1 . 10/11/2023 Did you rewrite this on Ao3? There are parts that are suspiciously similar to your own story. /works/48562810/chapters/122496778 |
CrimpyTomato591 chapter 67 . 7/27/2023 Gods, where do I even begin? This was such an amazing read, and I read the entire thing over the course of just two days. To start, I guess I'll mention that one of my biggest gripes about the Fire Emblem series is that the main narrative completely revolves around the primary cast in every game, with support conversations being the only times you get to really see the other people in the cast. I know it kind of has to be that way because of the permadeath mechanics, but it's still a shame to miss out on them contributing to the greater conflict. So many of the scenes in Awakening involve Chrom, Robin, and Lucina, and that's about it. Honestly, that's one of the main reasons I browse the fandom on this site; I enjoy watching people tell the story with a greater focus on including the side characters. I absolutely love how well you accomplshed that here. Whether it was Virion and Cordelia being Robin's best friends outside of the main group or Lon'qu and Lissa getting their own chapter, you made sure that the Shepherds felt like a living, breathing group of people. And my god, you remembered Kellam! NOBODY remembers Kellam! Even Tharja, whose relationship with Robin is always a bit questionable, managed to become a really solid person in her own right. There were definitely moments that may have overstayed their welcome a little bit in terms of length, but for the most part you did a phenomenal job making the cast feel important to the narrative. The thing about Fire Emblem works is that they have incredible potential to become amazing stories of truly epic proportions, but only so long as they avoid certain pitfalls, the most significant being the canonical material. Nothing is more frustrating to read than a story with interesting ideas that copy/pastes the dialogue from the games verbatim, following an almost identical overarching narrative to what's already been established. I don't just want a novelization of events I already saw play out. But when an author innovates? When they take creative liberties with the softer elements of the worldbuilding and branch away to enrich the story with original events and consequences? That's when you get something like this, something that feels truly special. I could go on and on about the specific things I enjoyed about Invisible Ties, be it your handling of the tome-based magic or the numerous scenes of banter and humor, but this review is already getting to be quite lengthy. Suffice it to say that this has quickly become one of my favorite stories on this site, and I'm incredibly happy to have picked it up. In any case, though, I just wanted to say thank you for writing this story. I know that you finished this project years ago and that I'm just some random stranger on the internet, but I genuinely had such an amazing time reading this. The amount of work and passion you put into it was clear to see, and I do hope you eventually come around to finishing the sequel! All the best, ~Tomato |
Guest chapter 67 . 4/26/2023 Hey there! Thank you for writing this, it was great! I’ve never really read fan fiction but I recently felt very nostalgic about Fire Emblem Awakening and thought I’d give this story a go. It blew my expectations out of the water! Good luck on your future endeavours! -TL |
Lharys chapter 2 . 1/16/2022 I like the way you describe the relationship of each character towards each otheralthough it‘s only the second Chapter in, I can „see and feel“ that they all know each other from way before Chapter 1. (Except for Robin and mysterious M-san) The characters aren‘t ‚flat‘, they are dynamic and act and respond in their own way to the other. And you’re not only focusing on the MC, you’re also making room for someone elses thoughts and perspectives. I like that a lot! Status quo: still confused, but eager to go on and see the story unfold! |
Lharys chapter 1 . 1/16/2022 Hey there! I don‘t know a single thing about Fire Emblem except that recent one I played called „Three Houses“? And I guess I missed out on a whole game-series while I stumbled through all these fanfictions andmore importantlyyour story? Anyways, I‘m soooo looking forward to reading your fanfiction! May I understand everything that‘s going on in the future of this story because for now, I‘m just as lost as Robin and rolling along like he does: With laughter, a bit of confusion and a rumbling stomach, for it seems I haven‘t been eating for days, too. |
JDH1080 chapter 1 . 8/27/2021 Damn this story. Damn this story to hell. Oh don't think I do t like this fanfic. In fact I LOVE it. But it's because of that that I also loath it's existence. Because of how well written and how damn near perfect this story is I cannot find it in me to enjoy other Robin/Lucina fanfictions. Even ones that I would normally categorize as good are garbage compared to this. Might as well add them to the heap. (CRUNCH!) This fanfiction is essentially a masterpiece. The writing is masterfully done, the characters are so likeable, even moreso than from the game that this story is honestly a better experience than the actual game. There is so much good I can say about this fanfic that it's basically ruined other Robin/Lucina fanfics for me. I'm glad this story is here and that you put all the time and effort into it, and that it received the attention it very much deserves. I'd honestly probably rank this in my top ten fanfictions. Definitely one of my favorite"Novelization" of the source material. |
RandomFF.netUser chapter 32 . 5/9/2021 Things are starting to depart from canon, and Grima is... FAR more powerful than he was in-game, apparently. It's all happening now! |
RandomFF.netUser chapter 21 . 5/6/2021 Oh, Henry. Never change. |
RandomFF.netUser chapter 18 . 5/5/2021 Heh, Fae the dragon scholar. I should not have found that as funny as I did. |
Guest chapter 54 . 11/12/2020 i would like to point out that this is longer than War and Peace. |
