Reading this for the second time :) really, real love loved this fic. Probably the best Sarah/Kyle fic I've read!

I'm confused. I thought that Kyle was handcuffed to a heavy rocking chair-so how did he suddenly save Sarah, shoot the Terminator, and engineer an escape?

Oh my gosh this story keeps getting better. Every chapter is a new tasty nougat.

I feel sorry for Able most of all. I hope that the crew at least *tried* to save the world each time. Also, the kids clearly have been ordered by their mom what their specialty will be, but I can't really blame her.
Lastly, I'm worried that Skynet will catch on.

"So you're saying," said Kyle, "That the reason we never saw any evidence of Skynet getting better was that it wasn't in the best interests of Skynet to appear to be getting better?"
Mind blown. These past 2 chapters just got excelent.

Finally, hurrah for abusing time loops.

I never heard the term "Pascal's Mugging" before. I like it.

Wow, great read overall. Very good creative use of time travel, and I loved all the ways Skynet held back and hid info and visa versa.

The one thing that I found remotely disappointing was the ending actually. After seeing that Skynet knew how to lie about its goals and hide its true abilities and knowing one of its goals was to trick humans into doing R&D for it, as soon as I saw that Sarah was going to continue trying to upgrade it I immediately wondered if "losing" was just a trick. A timeline with five Sarahs trying full-time to upgrade it, with modern infrastructure, is a dream come true right? The characters even brought it up, sort of. So it was a bit of a letdown to have it unambiguously revealed that it really was the new utility function in charge and not just the old one playing dead.

Well that and Sarah apparently set her bar way too low when designing the new utility function, but I'll chalk that up to a storytelling tool.

OK.
This is slightly creepy and awesome.
I had to disengage my brain at points to stay sane.
Still.
Great story.

Hahaha. That's... Hilarious. Somehow. Just the idea of Skynet trying to kill one of John's parents and /actually succeeding/ before losing anyway is extremely funny to me. Bravo.
