Can't believe that this story is 10 years old (and apparently a complete one too?!) and I've only seen this recommended now for the first time. I love the premise. So different from canon and yet seems to fit in perfectly.

Excited to read more. I love stories about mysterious killer viruses and the first chapter was a really good intro. Could have happened exactly that way in the opening of a movie too. :)

Wow, that was quite a journey, this fic is indeed a masterpiece, especially post-COVID.

Oh my, I know this fic was written pre-corona, but as someone who was in medical residency during the worst waves of COVID, it sure does hit differently now, that atmosphere of dread and quiet despair.

It was dark and bleak but also hopeful

If you wanted to write about normal humans and not the superhumans that are Naruto characters, why are you writing fanfiction? Seriously, Kabuto survived a Rasengan or strikes from Tsunade, and he dies from a hit with a microscope without even any chakra behind it? And then, Sasuke uses alcohol and a match to put fire, instead of one of his numerous Fire techniques?

The Kages are all morons. The Plague doesn't affect civilians, but the Eye of the Moon plan does. Thus Madara isn't asking for two lives in exchange of saving everyone, he's asking for two lives plus the dozens of thousands of civilians everywhere, in exchange of saving... no-one at all, really, because he'll have everyone sleep anyway. And that's without even taking into account that he could be lying. Why are they even considering obeying?

If it was that easy to beat the Nara ninjas (for freaking civilians, no less!), they would never have survived long enough to be a clan. Hell, Shikamaru actually uses them in order to lengthen his shadows, they're not a weakness of his at all.

this was an especially difficult read with everything going on right now but i fucking loved it

Sasuke and Kabuto's interactions are gold, I love the Kazekage, this story is soooo interesting and since I had to break and tell you how much I like it, I also want to say how well I think you handled the passing of Team Taka - seemed so in character, particularly Suigetsu.

Did none of them, or you the author, come to the conclusion that they might just simply copy the files and not tell them? I mean come on, how do they expect compliance from obviously hostile entities?
