Preier chapter 4 . 2/17/2014
very good depiction of tony's probable reaction to his situation.

taylor's behavior also harshly underlines how much a little help could actually improves her condition.

thank you for sharing your stories
sandcrawlr chapter 4 . 2/8/2014
Great story. Hope you keep up the writing!
MarkerIV chapter 4 . 1/31/2014
Quite interesting. Cannot wait to see skitter in power armor shaped like a bumblebee!
Nadrek chapter 4 . 1/8/2014
Hahahaha.

Yes, giving teens who get powers randomly is a good idea.

Saving Dragon is also a good idea - there were hints that Dragon liked and respected Skitter in canon - here, with her relationship with Jarvis and Tony, I would hope to see more conversation between Skitter and Dragon.

I'm still looking forward to Tony finding out that she jammed the last lock full of bugs to help buy him time.

Also, if anyone could make combat suits for bugs, it's Tony Stark. It's not just a swarm of Asian giant hornets, it's a swarm of Asian giant hornets in gas masks and electrically insulated armor, with Titan beetles in combat exoskeletons and Japanese spider crabs (remember he showing Grue she could control crabs) in power armor!
Nadrek chapter 3 . 1/8/2014
"leader of the Proectorates" - "leader of the Brockton Bay Protectorate team"

Good job, JARVIS, Taylor - you two need to hold Tony together through this. JARVIS was able to capitalize on Kid Win's outburst, and Taylor showed the planning and thinking she showed as Skitter in canon.
Nadrek chapter 2 . 1/8/2014
So, Armsmaster... and Dragon... completely missed "tried to access JARVIS remotely through the PRT network"?

And, yes, Iron Man is full of win... and doesn't give up easily, particularly as he's just come off of saving the world from an alien invasion.
Nadrek chapter 1 . 1/8/2014
"I one world" - "In one world"
"the main said" - "the man said"

Hahahaha - so, if we assume Tony Stark has no shard and no trigger event, per Marvel canon, then going with Saint's example, he's a Thinker-0 - no actual Thinker powers, but results as if he were a Thinker with a specialization in inventions. Definitely not a tinker, since he can, and did/does, design objects that can be mass produced and sold.

Why did they assume S.H.I.E.L.D. was a superhero team? Wouldn't they use the term cape team - he could be a supervillain, too, particularly with that level of lethal firepower.

Tony's antisocial and doesn't play well with others - the Protectorate rules are not going to work for him, and the amount of money they'll be willing to spend on him will be far, far less than he's used to. Also interestingly, this is his chance to be completely out of his father's shadow - build up Stark Industries himself, from the ground up, and sell... whatever he wants to invent! Holographic interfaces/screens, perhaps, to establish a brand. Nonlethal weaponry for all - capes of all stripes and noncapes alike. Whatever he likes - but he's going to need resources, and lots of them.

If he is going to provide Guardsmen suits, perhaps he'll set them up so they can _only_ be used against Endbringers, and then pass them out far and wide to everyone who wants to train with them, hero, villain, and civilian?
Sorrowful Stone chapter 1 . 1/3/2014
Thank. God. I've been driving my self crazy trying to remember what PRT stands for.

Exciting first chapter!

Lya-Nym chapter 4 . 11/10/2013
I like your idea, but being a huge fan of Worm, I'm kind of disappointed by how you short-change Taylor. She's reduced to the idealistic side-kick/assistant trope, without any of the intelligence or complexity that her character develops in canon. I think this fic would have been cooler had you introduced Tony when Skitter was already an established villain in Brockton Bay, and perhaps allowed her to work with Tony as an equal against a threat like the Slaughterhouse 9 or Noelle. The interaction between two formidable capes could have been fun to explore, particularly due to Tony's arrogance and the age difference between him and Skitter. Unfortunately, it seems like you're a big Tony fan, so you focus on him to the detriment of the Wormverse, leaving much of Taylor's potential unexplored.
Lord Sia chapter 4 . 10/20/2013
Awesome fic. Keep up the good work.
