This is such a unique take on the Harry Potter mythos. Well done, I say.

Contrary to some of your readers I actually like the long dense chapters that are full of information and world building. I only wish they don't go in quite so many tangents.

Harry, Hermione and the gang being precocious is believable.

You must write the story you want to. Don't pay any attention to the haters.
