I am confused with myself. I added this in 2012 and I know I can remember what I read especially when it was a favorite during that period so why the universe can't I remember this AU interaction between Touya and Hikari. I only read a few of what I liked as I keep rereading them but this story I have nada. lol.
great way to douse some of this 2's drama. now let me search the site if there are more better written stories. most of the one I liked is still in hiatus.

This was an excellent story. It had quite a bit of narrative at the beginning but it all came together wonderfully!

is this one-shot or you dropped this story? if this isn't one-shot, I hope someday you will continue this story again, I curious about will hikaru stop playing Go when Sai dissappear (after all in this story Hikaru have Akira as his rival and friend).

I loved this, first time I've seen Akira coming to a logical conclusion.
I worried about older games slip - But I didn't have to, because everything worked out great.
And the best part was that it wasn't slash!

The thing is, the real Touya is just as bright, but he has that unapproachable air about him, those barriers that keep him from really seeing. Maybe it's a bit of personal pride, or a bit of the society induced coldness that comes after having experienced some particularly hurtful moments in life... he also has those high expectations on him and... Your Toya is more open and interested in Hikaru not only as a rival but in the social aspect of their bond, friendship. He was willing to go visit Hikaru and find out more about him so that he might understand and befriend him. The original Toya came very close to understanding things at some point, but he dismissed the answer simply because it did not followed the rules of logic.

Well, anyhow, if it does not make much sense, blame it on my sleepiness, sorry and thank you!

Oh wow. I love this story. I loved how in the anime, Akira found Sai in Hikaru's Go, and now you've taken that idea one step further. Wonderful. Akira doesn't know that there's an actual person, an actual ghost, but he figured out what was going on anyway. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
