Loving the story, even though they can't seem to realize their feelings for each other or the courage for one of them to step forward and be the first to say something to the other.
Thanks for sharing your talent, very good stuff!

| Eve2faces chapter 15 . 2/16
I have to agree with the guest below that stated that Jane should not have so readily fallen back into a friendship with Maura. Maura treated Jane with zero respect when she abruptly cut off their "friends with benefits" arrangement...which she agreed to...because, unbeknownst to Jane, Maura wanted a "relationship" with Jane. After 6 months of their "arrangemenr", she cuts off ANY relationship with Jane outside of work...friendship or otherwise. She relegated Jane to the role of merely a colleague, despite Jane's many attempts to just hang out with Maura as Jane still considered Maura her best friend.
But, what does Maura do? She ignores and dismisses Jane for over a month and then walks into the Robber with Lauren on her arms, smiles and waves at Jane...as if she hasn't intentionally ignored Jane for over a month and they're still the best of friends...struts over to Jane's table and proudly introduces Lauren to Jane and her colleagues as the woman she's dating. Maura must have talked a great deal to Lauren about Jane...evidently making it seem as if Maura and Jane were still the best of friends, but gets annoyed with Jane when Jane is not "warm and fuzzy" with Lauren and Maura and does not go along with Maura's farce? Maura's apparent intention of taking Lauren to the Robber was to rub her new "relationship" in Jane's face.
While Maura eventually came clean with Lauren about her former arrangement with Jane and why Jane behaved the way she did at the Robber...not that Jane was the bitch, but Maura was really the bitch...it took Lauren, not Maura, to end their relationship because Lauren finally admitted to herself it was Jane Maura desired and Maura was, essentially, using Lauren. But for Lauren being the mature one and ending things, Maura would still be with her because Maura is too emotionally stunted to tell Jane how she really feels. She whined to Lauren about missing Jane as her best friend and about caring about Jane's welfare and being sad and disappointed Jane no longer wanted to be her friend. And, while Maura acknowledged her role in Jane's attitude towards her, she still acts like she is the victim in the demise of their friendship. Maura told Jane that Jane was not enough. I realize this was explained, "in Maura's mind", that she was referring to wanting more of a relationship with Jane, but Maura intentionally did not elaborate on her explanation to Jane. She let Jane feel as if she was not good enough for Maura. I can't imagine how I would feel if my friend/ lover told me something like that. I wish Jane mentioned that to Lauren when she saw her at the store and Lauren was espousing how much Maura missed Jane as it seems Maura failed to tell Lauren that little tid bit.
So, like the guest said below, I am disappointed Jane so readily jumped back in her friendship with Maura. If Lauren had not ended their relationship my guess is Maura would not have apologized to Jane. And, while Maura's apology seemed heartfelt and she said all the right things...correctly shouldering all the responsibility for the demise of their friendship in the first place...I can't help but feel Jane should not jump back in with both feet. I wish Jane would tell Maura that while she appreciates Maura's apology, Maura hurt her and her actions cannot be so readily forgotten. I wish Jane would have told Maura they can be friends, but not like they were... at least not right away. Jane needs to protect her heart. Maura intentionally, with malice and foresight, trampled over Jane's heart and emotions. That's something not easily forgotten. Maura needs to earn back Jane's trust and, perhaps, Jane needs to broaden her social circle outside of work so she is not so dependent on Maura. I realize Jane loves Maura and a Rizzles ending is desired, but I think both she and Maura need some time apart to think things over.
