Poor Sheldon. Well done.

Also, note to the person who decided that the potential romantic pairing was important:the original data could not have been used, as the experiment was tampered with. It no longer had any credibility within the academic community. I would expect anyone with basic high school chemistry or biology to realize this. The romantic pairing of the story has nothing to do with the very real consequences of the actions of Leonard, Howard, and Raj. While Sheldon's announcement was premature, his actions can be excused as excitement. The others were mean, petty, and cruel.
Guest chapter 1 . 4/3/2015
I just recently discovered this particular episode of the show, and I don't believe Sheldon overreacted at all. The other three cause immense damage to his career. He would have to spend years trying to make that up, and even then he might not fix anything. The others, if discovered, would have lost their positions at the university and likely been blacklisted, for lack of a better term.

i agree with evvery thing you said! thanks so much
Tee Hill chapter 1 . 9/22/2014
:))))))))))))))
Book girl fan chapter 1 . 1/17/2014
I totally agree, Sheldon wasn't overreacting. They destroyed his credibility in the scientific community. I may not know exactly what that is like, but I imagine it as somewhat like someone getting you to do something that gets you arrested, and thus having a permanent criminal record. It may seem like a small thing at the time, but it could have serious consequences later.
Rokimbo chapter 1 . 11/16/2013
LOVED this. It WAS a big deal no matter what your ignorant 'guest' shenny-hating troll would try to explain
away. It doesn't matter that Leonard 'saved the original data', he still screwed with the experiment and that's
just unprofessional. PERIOD. It definitely changed the way I saw the character of Leonard after this episode.
Andrea chapter 1 . 11/13/2013
It actually is a VERY BIG DEAL. And it once again proves that none of the actors or writers have ANY idea about actual scientific research and the funding of such. Funding is VERY hard to get and those that give funding watch it VERY closely. What Leonard and the others did is serious fraud. Depending on the source of the funding and the exact stipulations, all four of them would at BEST be fired from their jobs and never trusted at ANY research again (because they might sabotage someone else's research). They might also have to pay back the money out of their own pockets. They could even be arrested. To put it in perspective, it's anywhere from a minor embezzling charge, all the way up to Leonard disguising himself as Sheldon and robbing a bank in broad daylight.
ead9 chapter 1 . 10/24/2013
Sheldon was so NOT over-reacting, he thought he'd found monopoles and proved what the universe was made of, only what he's spent his whole life doing. Of course the first thing he was going to do on arriving home was tell everyone important, perhaps his best friend should have mentioned it on the way home or before he sent his email but no too busy trying to bed the neighbour.

Sorry rant over, just think the guys were total dicks for doing that to him. Loved the subtle shenny.
Darkly Dreaming chapter 1 . 10/19/2013
I love you. And I'm not gonna lie, the A/N was my favorite part. Fuckin great points that people need to get through their thick skulls. HALLELUJAH!
I mean, what? XD
Green Verde chapter 1 . 10/19/2013
Great story. I like how you laid out how Leonard and the others ruined Sheldon's experiment! Kudos.
