love the story and I hope you will continue this, as for a weapon I would say a hook sword I know you said no swords but this weapon I always felt would be good for ranma with the bladed guard the rear spike and the hooked blade makes a very dangerous weapon and most of the of the katas I have seen the use there hole body and seem to be a very unpredictable weapon.

Excellent start and double chapter, as for the cat aspects they are fine the way they are, as for the rest of the wreaking crew show what happened to them in cameos, and then as for the three girls you are undecided on, put Rika with Ranma, as for the other two my vote will depend on how you write them.

Good stuff. For a weapon going forward, I think a kusarigama with a longer than normal chain for huge reach would be awesome. Rika to be in the pairing for ranma. IT's weird that you'd have shizuka in the pairing for takashi when she is clearly so close to ranma. Any of the three girls with ranma is great, you can never have too big a harem when the main character is hung like a horse with the stamina too

I like the story and taming the neko but this is a darker ranma so this is so going in my fav stories list because it is well written as well.

Well the weapons I come up with are as following, Kama with Chain, Cat Claws (the weapon not the ki technique), bladed giant tonfas and metal gauntlets.

I think the catlike aspects help humor-ize Ranma in the absence of the Girl-curse. Without some humor and failings, Ranma really becomes too much of a cross between Deus-ex-Machina, Marty-Stu & Inadvertent Nightmare Fuel.

Part of me would've liked to see Ranma manage to rescue a few more people... but I understand how having too large a cast can be unwieldy and troublesome to pace.

The issue with bringing up the traditional Ranma case members is... without Ranma, there's nothing that binds them together. With Ranma never going to Jusenkyo, the Amazons never leave their valley. It's unlikely the zombie plague would cause much of a problem, as all three tribes are ruthless enough to suppress any outbreak very swiftly. The Tendos might survive... especially if Ryoga randomly showed up at the right time, but the Kunos are too mentally damaged to survive such a situation.

Having the cast encounter Ukyo could add some fun, given that she hasn't caught up with him previous to this. Maybe even having her encounter Rei & Takashi while still dressing as a guy... causing Rei to become attracted to "him"... until Ranma blurts out: "Wait a minute Ukyo-Chan... you're a girl?"

Interesting Story.
I find the feline aspects to be fine,
No swords and polearms or guns with neko claws forming the blades, I would suggest a blungeoning weapon. A Bat for the simple solution or a Samurai Kanabo for the martial arts.
* A Kanabo is an oak rod covered in spiked iron band used to break shields, but can shatter bone easily. Samurai weapon.

ranma is impressive but you managed to let the others characters keep an active role, well done.

a bit disappointed that you kept shido alive/with ranma&co. given the rest-time i hoped ranma and the others would take another bus or find zombie shido and destroy it in amusing fashion. or executed in the parking lot for what he did.

re "hooking up" : i would have suggested (due to personnal preference) that you keep the numbers low in each relationships but perhaps something like this?

ranma/saeko/saya shizuka/rika negotiating future "stud fees" with saya&saeko when planning for post-zombie times (in ranma's presence for maximum effects?)

kohta/yuuki/asami(policegirl). perhaps even playing on the fact that seeing kohta being shared inspires the ranma lovers?

rei's father/rei's mother/nodoka/kyoko (supposing that they reunite with the children. and just imagine the fun way it will blow rei's mind. still inspired by kohta situation and/or revelations on kiriko past kindness toward her poor divorced sister)

takashi/rei (keep her alive and make her grow up. that's still killing what she is right now )

VERY cool man. I get the feeling that with Ranma, everyone's chances of survival will shoot WAY up. And I hope you would be able to follow the story of the manga instead of the anime since the Manga is still ongoing.

I think what you did for the story is awesome. It is more interesting to read about people like Ranma and Saeko surviving in this kind of zombie infested world. I hope you include cameos of other schools of martial arts around as one time allies. Which would make sense if there are people better than Ranma out there. NWC should have their cameos too, not sure how you will write them, but it will be interesting to read.

Rika with Ranma is pretty cool, and Kohta can be with Yuuki too ;)
