It’s been forever since this story was first posted. I found it relatively early on in my SS/HG fad. And loved it! I took a fencing class myself in college & experienced it so much the same as Hermione did—loved the strength, grace, fluidity, formality & passion of it; & feeling yourself getting stronger, faster, better the more you train.

I like the silent bonding that has been going on bwtn Hermione & Snape: Hermione wants him to notice she’s becoming a woman. And then later when he comes for her.

**Spoiler Alert**—Nice ambiguity at the end. I like to read Snape’s last line(s) as him just comforting her. But, as the spy, he would have known of the planned attack on her family. Was it more than just foreknowledge? Have they just been 2 relentless perfectionists enjoying training together? Or has he been deliberately honing her into a weapon against the dark side?

Haha I'd like to .try to kill me..days Hermione in her anguish.

I enjoyed reading this! It's interesting that Snape and Hermione both enjoy fencing, but I can't blame them. I did not see the ending coming, and I loved where this chapter ended. How you wrote Hermione's despair was just beautiful and heartbreaking! I loved reading this! Thank you for writing this!
