Where's the rest?
| Hekka chapter 1 . 1/13
Oh what an interesting start. I was always interested in the idea of "what if?" in which couples would have been different (especially considering that the development of relations between characters happens largely by chance). Because there are too many similarities in the characters between Elizabeth and Darcy, and Bingley and Jane. And not at the best aspects of their characters. It is obvious that this similarity attracted canonic couple to each other. But it is one thing to be attracted and quite another to conduct a joint economy. Boat romance always tends to sink into the abyss of life. And their similarity play against them. Darcy and Elizabeth - are both overly temperamental and stubborn personality prone to act rashly without learning all the circumstances (and the relationship is all about tradeoffs). Bingley and Jane more difficult, because their characters are not sufficiently disclosed. On the one hand leaves a good golf Interpretation - but it is clear that they, too, are not a match made in heaven. Both can be quite passive when you need just the opposite.
I personally think that the gentle but tranquil nature of Jane could smooth angles of Darcy's character. And he, in turn, could help her release her own passions, to weaken hold on her own feelings. As I'm sure that Elizabeth's sparkling nature can bring the best out of Bingley, and vice versa.

St James is a palace not a church, the church Darcy and Bingley would probably have attended is St George's, Hanover Square.
