![]() ![]() Bellatrix is not a blood traitor. The Weasleys, Boneses, and Sirius are blood traitors. She is "Bellatrix No Name". She has no family surname anymore. She was formally removed from her birth family. Being called a blood traitor is just a bigot's way of saying you're not one of them. A pureblood who doesn't spout racist epithets and bile. |
![]() ![]() Intentions. Not sure intensions is even a word. Google doesn't recognize it. (Yeah. I'm old. I use z's where all the goddamn millennials changed them to s's) _ Later mediocrity. Mediocracy IS A word. But not how you used it. Believe me. I was a straight C student, forever, even in college. I KNOW mediocrity! |
![]() ![]() Isn't 'balmy' like, really nice, warm, tropical weather? Ron uses 'barmy' for crazy, wild, out of the ordinary behavior. Anything a pureblood wouldn't understand. |
![]() ![]() Apprised, I think, not appraised (Arcturus). "As to what was happened". After long years reading Brit-speak, I understand that as colloquial (slang?), and only used in the UK. Anywhere else in the world, that phrase would get you kicked out of English class, on your arse. Bearing, not baring. You know, you COULD look this stuff up, before using a wrong word, or a word- wrong. |
![]() ![]() Predatorily. LY. Adverb. There is alot of that going on, here. |
![]() ![]() If its December now, did Sirius ever go meet Amelia and get cleared? He had three months from that summer trial date? |
![]() ![]() Just when I was sure you didn't know what an apostrophe even was, then you had "Hagrid's" and a "don't" in the next paragraph. My breaking point was "light in the HUTS windows". Nevermind. |
![]() ![]() WHY would they be covered head to toe in mud when they LITERALLY never touch the ground. Once practice begins, they are airborne. |
![]() ![]() "They walked out of the portrait hole together." Did they? Earlier, they had to CRAWL into the portrait HOLE, and I ranted a bit on that. So, is it a hole, or is it a full size, 6 foot 8 inch, 3 foot wide, doorway you can walk out of, two people side by side? Again. Books-hole... stupid. Movies doorway... not stupid. Which is killing me, cuz I hate the movies. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story is getting intense |
![]() ![]() I know I spout canon, Canon, CANON, constantly, but JKR is off her rocker with that dumb ass portrait hole they climb, or crawl, through. Sure, even year olds can crawl ok. They're genderless blobs at that age. But even by twelve, girls are becoming GIRLS, and boys want to do more than pull their pigtails. Most of the girls, all the way up to seventeen, and soon eighteen, will have skirts on with their robes. Some of them, purebloods, may ONLY have robes on and nothing else. Much as I'd want to be the twelve year old boy following the seventeen year old girl , crawling on her hands and knees, I'm pretty sure its a nonstarter, practically. Really, just stupid. It's one of the few changes to the movies that I agree with. |
![]() ![]() "They made there way...seventh floor... Grand Staircase... Met a line of Ravenclaws..." NO. THEY DIDN'T. Think back to book seven, when Luna took Harry to the Ravenclaw common room, to see what Ravenclaw's diagram looked like. (So he could search for it in the RoR) They had to go DOWN to the fourth floor and over to the first stairway UP in Ravenclaw Tower. You could reach either tower from floors 1,2,3 or 4, but not above. PLUS they are also on opposite sides of the overall castle. Not close to each other. Once in either tower, then yes, the common room access IS on the seventh floor. Books, people. Read them! And I admit I only read books 6 and 7 once, each bcuz I hated them. I probably read gifs 15 times?.PoA, maybe ten, including for our cub scout reading badge when my boy was ten, or so (wow! 24 years ago?!) He received the first four books, boxed set, hardback, when GoF came out . I snuck them out of the wrapping paper each night for five days, to finish all four. Then I read them aloud to him, with character voices, for what took about a year (he has autism). Much later, we did the one book, laying on the floor, in the church basement at cub scouts, for that badge. He read A sentence. Then I read a sentence. We did one chapter that night. I think it's the only whole, complete book he ever finished. |
![]() ![]() And because the entire ministry is under ground, the numbering of the floors is INVERTED (BOOK CANON). The Atrium is the first floor. Down one is 2. Down, down, down... 3,4,5,6,7,8,9. Served by the elevators. Floor ten is down a set of stairs from floor 9. The movies have everything going UP From an expansive ten story high atrium. Dumb AF! Their elevators go horizontal. Wtf?! |
