On your early chapters I got the feeling you were having a good characterization of a dark character, but now it seems you're having trouble not self-inserting and he's grey instead of dark now. Going against his family and his group because of someone he just met? Everyone agrees with Hermione being part of their group since the beginning except Draco, I guess he's the only playing his part well.

Clearly the MC is doing that because the writer likes Hermione, not because it makes any sense plot wise, because it doesn't. Plus he had a bias and good-will towards her since their first meeting. While it made a bit of sense for Neville because of his backgrounds, it didn't for her.

As much as I'm enjoying most if this story, I really don't like how Destiny has literally taken Hermione and Neville's place in Gryffindor dialogue and all. I hope that things breakaway from canon at some point as well. Hadrian and Alexander are different people than canon Harry. I can't help but think things should go differently even if some events are similar. Anyway I'm extremely curious to see where this goes.

The math on how long Harry has supposably been dead doesn't add up. He was almost 7 when he went with Riddle and is now 11. it hasnt been 8 years its been 4.

I've noticed two errors in this chapter. First, Alexander's middle name changed from Albus to Evan. Second, Dumbledore says he's 3 when he should be 6.

I love a story where Hermione actually learns that books don’t always have the answers, that it’s okay to be smart, but not to shove it down others’ throats, and not all authority figures can be trusted.
