It is somewhat unfortunate that this story, which is referenced in "Hit Me" (and potentially later stories in the series) was left incomplete.

Nevertheless, it's an interesting enough idea, even if I don't feel that Discord's made his point yet.

Okay. You know what? I hate this story. And why? Because you made Twilight hate Discord even though chaos does not mean evil related things. Seriously,
how is Discord's chaos any different than Pinkie Pie's? Speaking of which, Is it too much to ask for a few fics of alternate episodes of season 4 or 5 about how the Mane Six treat Discord and him or somebody calling them out for it? Like, I get it, yeah? Having chocolate rain pouring down over your heads day in and day out would be absolutely annoying and tedious to deal with, but really. What do they expect from the spirit of chaos? For that matter, just because he's still chaotic in recent seasons doesn't mean he's turning evil. He could've done a lot worse too, when you really think about it! He can rip all of reality with a snap of his paws, but he doesn't! He could kill a number of ponies by having a sinkhole swallow up a city or just poof in Manticores from the Everfree and just let them have free roam wherever. But still, he doesn't! For all the power at his mismatched paws, Discord really doesn't do as much damage as he possibly could because I think Discord didn't want to be a villain in the first place but more of a chaotic genie like creature like Genie from Disney's Aladdin. So...why turn him to stone? I just don't see why they felt it was necessary to lock him into, basically, a living prison for doing what he's supposed to. I seriously think that the only reason that he messed up the Mane Six in his first episode was because he knew they were going to try and turn him back into stone and that he actually wanted to be friends with everyone but they hated him for who he was. It's why he stole the elements in the first place; nobody wants to get forced back into a conscious death, no matter who they are. So, he did what he could to keep it from coming to pass. Fat lot of good he did in the end, but still, you gotta applaud him for his effort. Now let's talk about what happens after he's 'reformed'. The Mane Six treat him like he's no different than before Fluttershy got through to him. For that matter, there are a few Discord fanfics that show the Mane Six behaving badly like this one for example. In fact, during "Princess Twilight Sparkle", Rarity, Applejack and Rainbow Dash were a little too quick to right him off as the villain in the situation and were fully open to turning him back into a lawn ornament. And even though Fluttershy stood up and defended Discord, those three weren't called out at all for their rash decision and almost falsely imprisoning him at all! My belief in their actions is that they seem to disregard a very simple fact about Discord; he's never had friends before! Equestria, for all its big talk about 'harmony', 'love', 'understanding' and 'friendship', doesn't always apply it to non-pony citizens. For someone that has never had another to call a 'friend' or anything even close, it's almost nigh impossible to suddenly learn every last quality that makes a good friend or even a chummy acquaintance. Being the Elements of Harmony, you think the girls would try and sympathize with him, if only a little bit (especially because he is trying to be friendly like Genie). Since season 4, i always hated how everyone treated him like he's still a villain even after they no longer have anything but their "friendship" to keep him from defecting. And in Season 5, Twilight is still jealous of him and accusing him at the drop of a hat without any actual evidence. I mean seriously, what happened with Tirek should've served as a wake up call, Discord may be chaotic but he truly does want to be their friend, but they treated him like a pest and expected him to obey their every word. That's not friendship, that's forced obedience just like this fanfic. I'm sorry but I hope you understand my opinions about the Mane Six because this fanfic shows them being even more abusive to Discord which automatically makes this story horrible and unreadable. Please read this.

...Is this ever going to be finished? There are fics set later in this time line, some even reference the events in this fic, but it's been years since it was updated. I think the story is absolutely fantastic. In fact, two of my favorites from this series are this fic and Hit Me. So I was, I believe, justifiably upset that this brilliant piece of literature may never be completed. Are there plans to come back to this, gentle author?

Otherwise, as previously stated, the writing is very well done. I love the different perspective, and the way the reader is forced to confront their assumptions and preconceptions about Discord, his punishments, and in the broader sense, the bias of justice along with the Mane 6.

Bravo, really.

Holy crap this is heavy! How do you not have more stats on this!? It's enthralling! I was cursing out loud at one point; because I was mad at myself for not being able to read faster, to find out what was going on, at Fluttershy because she wouldn't just 'spit it out, already' about WHY they're all 'so stupid', and genuinely struggling with myself NOT to skip ahead, (bad habit of mine) because THEN, I'd have to come back to the top and reread stuff I'd already read to find the bit I'd skipped slowing me down even MORE. *huff* My point being this story and series are freaking GOOD! Kudos. :)

...Need more...so good. Love this side of Discord, not enough people write about what is actually capable of.

Yay an update! Sadly, we'll have to wait to see how this tale of Sombra and his new apprentice ties to into Twilight regretting having friendships at all and reformation spells, but this was an awesome start. *snickers* Cultural relativism.

Anyways, great job with it. Poor, Discord, Fluttershy is the only one even trying to listen and she doesn't really get it, either. Update another story soon please! Hope you're doing well!

This is an amazing fic, and an amazing universe you've created here. I've read bits and pieces of your other work in this AU, and I've seen references to what the book showed Twilight. Are you going to explore this fully in this story?

I hope you do. I'd really like to see this story to the end. It's fascinating, everyone is in character, and this is all entirely plausible.
