It might just be because the author didn't count on that fact.

And, as usual, your work blows my mind! Oh! So many things to love! For example, I love Hermione's and Harry's banter. It's just SO them, and it is setting the tone perfectly for when the group goes into the Marvel Universe. Banter to those characters is like air: they got to have it. I can't wait to see what happens! And the weapons! Oh I love it when mythology gets brought into play... SO AWESOME!

I wonder why Smelt could see Hermione though. I mean, not even DEATH can see through the cloak, so does that mean he's become better than death, or...? Whatever, it's super great and the cliff hanger is painful but in a pleasant sort of way. THANK YOU FOR WRITING!

I always appreciate how you go out of your way to write positive portrayals of heroines who choose not to have biological children. There's so much social pressure in the other direction; it's means a lot to see people like me in fiction now and then. That's part of why I've turned into such a loyal follower. :)

This first chapter was a bit exposition heavy. Hermione's bitching about Ron came off okay, but the dialogue didn't feel entirely natural when she started listing her personality traits and accomplishments for Harry. I think it would have been a stronger read if you'd cut some of the info-dump and focussed in more on Harry and Hermione's actions.

That being said... this is a pretty cool concept! Harry and Hermione's BROTP relationship shines, and I am stoked to see what you make of Loki and his basket of issues.

A beautiful start, here. Will Smelt (name clue?) come along as well? Or does the Anvil not affect the wielder of the hammer?

I have to say i'm somewhat disappointed this isn't an update for TFFoS. Still, your stories are always well written and I look forward to more.

I'm so excited you've fallen for this fandom/Loki (honestly Loki probably has the greater pull - *sigh* I completely sympathize with your morally-ambiguous villain/antihero weakness...).
