This was a surprisingly dark rendition of the avatar. I do remember the tone of the original Nickelodeon cartoon. Yet, as soon as you actually visit that world.. as soon as you have to live through the same. One single change and it becomes a bloodbath.

It's crazy how cute that world was, similar to ben10. Yet both worlds have the potential for slaughter precariously close to occuring.

If for example any government noticed how useful the alien transformations are, concentration camps abound in the Ben 10 universe. Add to that all the sexy alien girls and hello, we have naturally occuring aces to be conditioned by man.

Honestly, man kind is the most frightening thing to be unleashed on the world. That and our imagination. For all the depths of depravity were created by someone's mind.

I do like this story. I would reccomended this story to anyone who has watched the Avatar anime. It represents a canon retelling of Avatar the last Airbender. Except for one little change. And that change, alters the course of the entire story. Personally I really enjoyed this alternate story. Namely because of the fact that due to it originally being a children's show, the darker reality isn't even thought of.

In the show blood bending is the darkest possible event. In reality, it is vile, and frightening. However, slavery, rape, drugs, genjutsu, are just some of the possible things worse than blood bending.

All of which would occur often when individuals live in a society where power is distributed unequally. Patriarchal and matriarchal are two very common examples. But we can also point out the innumerable other ways to hate eachother, or to deprive people of basic rights.

I can't wait for more stories. Luckily I'm not done reading all that this author has written!
