Reviews for Desperately Seeking Ranma |

Rakaan chapter 98 . 5/26/2016 Well, all caught up. Sadly, I've decided not to follow. Out of nearly a hundred chapters, and well over a million words, I only really found the "side stories" interesting. With the "main" story feeling like so much filler-content...It's just not for me. Good luck. |
Rakaan chapter 96 . 5/26/2016 Instead of bitching at Chiyoko every time they see her, maybe they could take the effort to, you know...Teach her how to aim? They've known her presumably for months if not years, the entire time of which she possessed a deadly weapon she was not skilled with in any way, and has already killed (not hurt, actually killed) a person's pet and the only reason she hasn't already done the same to a human is luck. All that, along with however many thousands of dollar's worth of property damage. Honestly after so much time and zero effort into helping the young girl improve herself (and who actually expects someone her age to know how to do so herself?), they have no business complaining. It's just getting annoying now. |
shugokage chapter 98 . 5/26/2016 Absolutely hilarious chapter especially the ending scene with Hikari! |
wolf-in-hell chapter 98 . 5/26/2016 Not sure about a name for Ms Aoyama's employers, but i think the logo should be a rendering of a nautilus (lots of thin reaching tenticles) or similar, done in such a way you cant quite tell if its the animal or an eldritch abomination from beyond. |
Anonymous Coward chapter 98 . 5/26/2016 Great chapter as usual. You always seem to keep a mix of elements juggling in the air while moving the story along. I am starting to hope Kimiko gets roped into the insanity somehow just so she can troll her sisters. Maybe by being the magical healing vet for Luna and Artemis. I honestly cannot say any of the vast number of plot threads you have going I want you to work on next. I love reading them all, and cannot wait until they show up next. Anyhow my two ideas for the organization: If you need it for people who speak English or who know about the twitch From Nanoha: (S)pace (T)ime (A)dministrative (B)ureau Have Ms. Aoyama say with a creepy smirk that the acronym for the English translation was completely coincidental. My other idea which is unfortunately more humorous than creepy: Bureau 42. Because aliens know 42 is the answer to everything. |
Himiko Y chapter 98 . 5/26/2016 Thank you for another wonderful chapter. Keeping with the Eldritch horror theme I thought of: Miskatonic Assurance using the symbol from the book of the dead as a logo. Motto: "We deal with the universes, so you don't have to." That way when someone says she is just an insurance agent she can say "no, we use a much more proactive method." "We prefer to deal with things before they become a problem for our clients" That leave people wondering who her 'clients' are. |

DraaIzilUss chapter 98 . 5/25/2016 jdd justified deadly defense |
firestorm100 chapter 97 . 5/25/2016 I do like the motto suggested by Patrick. "Observe, Assess, Ensure." |
kolgrimmur chapter 98 . 5/24/2016 Not a review, a suggestion: Ms. Aoyama, Dean Miskatonic University College of Unusual Studies aka M.U.C.U.S |
firestorm100 chapter 98 . 5/24/2016 Looks like two Sano sister have suspicions that Nabiki knows more about magic girl life than she's saying. In terms of name ideas for Mis Aoyama's group I would have a name along the lines of Lovecrft old one to be sufficiently creepy and it translate to "The Ones Beyond Who Audit" or TOBWA Seams appropriate as Nabiki is studying forensic accounting and it is a mystery where she is base and what they are 'beyond'. Alternatively you could go for "The Auditor's of Reality" (see Terry Pratchett's Discword Series) Peoples would worry what exactly they audit and if it fail what they would do. (I.e. Close/delete the reality/dimension/person) The big question is will they be forced to reveal their true identities early? Will someone catch on before their ready to know? Nice reappearance of Ranma's demon form. Not hear from the other recently though sounds like their main civilian form will meet Nodoka soon. On the note of summoning, would a demon book work properly if the coordinates copy out are set for the dimension the book originates from? As always top quality work. |
Grell chapter 98 . 5/24/2016 Lovely chapter as always nice mix of fallout and character / family development. As to the "organization" I do Have a thought. TWA ~ Trans World Authority. There symbol a burning eye clutched in the fingertips of a 4 fingered hand. As though you were holding a pearl for display to someone. The symbol lends itself well to a simplified circle with rays on paper and a horrifying flaming / blinking sphere clutched in an alien palm in greater detail. "Looks at business card Seems plain enough?" Presses corner of the card and the eye of Sauron supporting hand rises out like a small hologram blinks and stares at the card holder then sinks back into the paper. "Ah OK that's more in line with Ms. Aoyoma" he choked out. Bonus points for people mistaking them for the airlines, and wondering if it was intentional. Thanks for sharing! _ |
HauntingTheNet chapter 98 . 5/24/2016 In answer to your question about Ms Aoyama's "employers"... How about something like Ma.G.M.A. MaGMA is shorthand for . It fits their little group, seems a bit like an onimous 'black' intelligence group name, and as long as the initials are never explained no one would be able to guess it. Maybe pair it with another word? There are a bunch of "Ma" words that it might go well with it for iteration purposes and still fit the story. MaGMA Magistrate (administration of the law), MaGMA Majority (a large group with the same ideals), MaGMA Malaise (a vague feeling of unease - like Ms Aoyama instills into people), MaGMA Management (after all they are using this fake organization to manage things), MaGMA Mandate (order to assist the public), MaGMA Manifest (readily obvious - sarcastic joke because of the subterfuge), MaGMA Mantic (being able to see the future / unseen things), MaGMA Mantra (often repeated phrase - like Ms Aoyama's phrase when questioned for info), MaGMA Marginality (contact with disparate cultures and taking some but not all their traits or values), MaGMA Masquerade (a false face to the eye), MaGMA Mastermind (a person or group responsible for a great idea or a plan), MaGMA Matriarchy (family, society, community, or state governed by women - since they are all women sort of including Ranma), MaGMA Maxim (principle / rule of conduct). That is thirteen different "Ma Ma" combinations that all make sense in context and yet would work as a name that sounds faintly ominous / creepy. I even removed a few possible names from my suggestions just so that my list used a "creepy" number of examples. ;) |
BiGDeal chapter 98 . 5/24/2016 I think that the standard answer applies, along the the added phrase and accompanying temperature drop, "a matter of curiosity that my employers strongly disapprove of." As expected, another chapter of weirdness and wonder. Between the distribution of two more Yori/Chou dolls and Colonge getting a new apprentice in the form of Hikaru, a lot of fun and something to look forward too. Can't wait for Akane and Shampoo to attend a mermaid party in the basement pool. Keep it coming! |
cko2 chapter 98 . 5/24/2016 That was a amusing chapter. Something going on with a missing layline point. Gos meeting the our fav green haired spook. More fun in other worlds. Thank you so much foe sharing this very epic story you are working out. I am not even sure how the heck you have this plotted out and can seem to keepit after this long for sure with how long chapters ars. |
