I think this chapter puts the truth to Phoenix's. If Fawkes is willing to let his master get away with kidnapping, it proves they are not creatures of the light.
I always thought of them as neutral, representing the cycle of renewal, birth and death.

One thought I've had for a while is: If a horcrux anchors a soul and prevents it moving on, then it and the soul must be linked. If they are linked then a spell like the AK would travel along those links and destroy all the horcurx's in one go.
Canon wise they always never did that but instead used fire or the sword, whatcha think? :)

This story was beyond teen ratings, for chapter one for one section of chapter.

well, this is different. And kind of weird with them being in their late teens but trapped in toddlers' bodies... That's actually one of the issues with time-travel fics I find hm bothersome. Will they be aged mentally and emotionally? Or will they just have the knowledge but still be small kids?

No matter what, sounds promising, we'll see where it goes :)

Very different start to a time travel story.

Maybe I've read too many fics where Hermione is cast of the great goddess of perfection, but I feel you need to tone it down. It sorta felt Harry was just a very limited sidekick to the all round awesomeness that is Granger, it gets tiring if they aren't equals.

I think the next step is to immediately send a message to Sirius so he wont run off after Peter
