| FriendofMolly chapter 5 . 4/6/2014
How chilling. A magical murder of a Muggle. Obviously the murderer didn't care about the Secrecy Act. I have to agree with Harry, Draco couldn't and wouldn't do something like this. But someone who hates him would. I guess it could have been Goyle, but it seems like it was done by someone with more brains. It looks like Harry's next stop is going to be just as difficult.

Though I'm behind a chapter, it was thoroughly enjoyable to read this segment of your story. I, of course , agree with Ginny. Angelina will be around for a very long time. The Chocolate/Jalapeno Easter Egg, is just the type of prank George thrives on. It won't hurt that she is totally welcomed by the rest of the family. I do hope the next chapter shares a bit of Hermione Aunt and Uncles visit to her flat. For now I'll continue.

Very interesting! I like the dealings between the Muggle police and the Trio, it reads very nicely. I feel kind of sorry for that Constable - being smart shouldn't be a problem! Unfortunately, it is.

Yay! I was so excited when I saw this posted yesterday. We finally get to meet Bobbie, and the story gets more intriguing. Can't wait for the next update!

Very interesting with the police procedure and the accurate description of locations. Is Roberta going to join them. Great!
| ClaireBear1982 chapter 5 . 4/4/2014
Oooo, so the plot thickens further. Very good update, very well written as always. I can't wait for the next update.

Oh, exciting. I very much enjoyed this chapter. Another constant factor in my enjoyment of your stories is that they are authentically British, so I don't find myself wincing every paragraph or two, as I do in far too many fanfics. That seems particularly important in this chapter as non-Brits writing fics set in England find British police personnel and methods very challenging. However it Is more than that, it is the marvellous feeling of being immersed in Essence of Britain that I get from your stories, that I love so much. (Homesick much? Nah, not me. lol)
BTW, there is a 'too' that should have been a 'to' in this chapter. Hold on for a sec and I'll find it ... found it; it is where Harry is talking to Fenella and asks her if she knows what she has come to.

Brilliant to see at least part of Beadles origin thanks for another fantastic chapter!

Thank you for the update, but MORE, MORE, MORE!
I loved the part where Harry was questioning Ron on his whereabouts! Let's see, he has a motive and he fits the profile. He probably has an alibi, though
This is the first (chronological) time we see the Auror Office deal with Muggle police, I suppose it could be worse, but Bobbie sure is persistent. I can see why Harry recruited her for the Auror Office, it was either that, or Obliviating her. While the MIT stories are not exactly smooth sailing, I don't think it can be with the unpredictability of magic, it went better. Maybe it was Lavender's charm?
So Goyle is using Polyjuice to implicate Malfoy... I wonder how he got a bit of him to use in the Polyjuice. I can see a few hairs being left on Goyle's robes during the Battle, but Goyle saving them for three years? Or does he have an accomplice that's close to the source?
I can't wait for the next chapter!

Another excellent chapter. I've been eagerly awaiting the details of the incident in Justin's house as you've mentioned it in other stories. This doesn't disappoint - DCI Abberline being just as ineffective at investigating a magical crime as his namesake was in investigating Jack The Ripper (now there's an idea?), Bobbie Beadle showing how intelligent and perceptive she is (and leaving me wanting to read the chapters where you explain how she learns the truth about the magical world, remaining unobliviated and working for the Auror Office).
I also like Harry's rapid reasoning in deciding someone was impersonating Draco Malfoy - if Draco can't kill an enfeebled Dumbledore even though he expects Voldemort will kill him if he doesn't. why would he kill a stray Muggle when a quick obliviation would see him out and free? The Slytherin Four on the other hand are quite likely to see Avada Kedavra as a first resort.

Such a fun chapter! Loved the detail of the procedures and especially that section where Harry is reviewing the whole "Auror Office as part of the Home Office" thing (I assume the Home Office is part of/associated with MI-5?). Poor Fenella; that would be intimidating. I mean, all those policemen would be intimidating even as a Muggle-born, so yeah. I really enjoyed seeing Bobbie's introduction too, but I think my favorite part is Ron assuming it was Malfoy and Harry assuming Malfoy had been framed :)

I think I'm falling in love with Auror!Harry. And I love the sleepy scenes. And I love the golden trio investigating. Yup. Feeling the love. Love Love Love
