Lately I been, I been losing sleep

Dreaming about the things that we could be

But baby, I been, I been prayin' hard

Said no more counting dollars

We'll be counting stars

Yeah, we'll be counting stars

Ciel sat at his desk, lost in thought. His elbows were propped up on the desk, his hands supporting his head as he wondered. What would life have been like if his parents had not passed away? Would it better? Would anything be the same?

A quiet sigh escaped pale lips, his elbows rising slightly as he did so. He would be having his tea soon. So much paperwork, he thought, so little time.

It was not like any of this work would matter in the end – he did not see the point and would much rather spend his days doing something more entertaining, but Sebastian would not allow it under any circumstances. This was to the Earl's dismay, but it was in an earlier mutual agreement that it was better for the both of them.

There was a knock at the door, and the bluenette's musings were interrupted.

"Come in, Sebastian."

There was not another word spoken before the door opened slowly, the butler in black entering as he pushed a tea cart in front of him. On it was a teapot, a small porcelain teacup, and an array of pastries. He served the tea to the boy, along with a scone filled with strawberry jam. It was not hard to notice Ciel was a bit…off today.

"Young Master?"

"What do you want?"

Queue the dramatic pause.

"You do not seem to be feeling very well today. Would you like me to get you some medication, or perhaps tell me what is wrong so I may help you with it?"

"I don't care."

The demon raised an eyebrow, knowing with this that something was definitely very wrong with his little brat. Typically he was a holy terror, but rarely did he act this secluded and quiet around Sebastian.

"Might I tell you something that I hope will make you feel much better?"

Ciel crossed his arms, leaning back in his velvet desk chair after Sebastian's words were uttered. What was the butler playing at?"

"Yes. Go on."

"I feel for you, My Lord."

"What do you mean by that?" The bluenette cocked an eyebrow, wondering just what exactly this was supposed to achieve.

"Young Master, I love you." Sebastian's voice shook slightly as he spoke, stunning Ciel. He had never seen the older man so nervous in the years they had been together. "Demons are not supposed to have feelings. We are merciless creatures, destroying and altering all we come across in some way. However…with you, I would not like to do so. I want to be with you, and care for you sincerely."

The boy was shocked, and took a moment to think after Sebastian talked to him.

"Sebastian…I have never had feelings for anyone before. I do not know what to think."

The raven demon approached the younger boy, lowering his face to the other's level. His lips paused a few inches from Ciel's, causing a moment of desire and suspense. Then, their lips touched, locking them in a kiss of passion and emotion.

As Sebastian pulled away from the embrace, Ciel took a deep breath.

"Sebastian…?" He closed his eyes, composing himself before continuing the phrase. "Do not ever leave my side, not until the very end. That is an order."

A small smirk played at the corners of the demons lips. "Yes, My Lord."
