Rain... Rain and wind. Seifer hated driving during a storm, much less on a deserted highway at night. He sqinted to watch the road before him, being careful not to swerve. Glancing out the car window to his left, he saw a beautiful auburn-haired boy standing out in the middle of a vast field, scowling, running a hand through his brown locks on this dark night. Seifer watched this angel admiring nature. Stopping the car, he merely stared at the wonderful youth. Seeing the bright red car halt in the middle of the road, the boy became agitated. Slowly, he turned and sauntered away from the scene, but not before surveying the man in the car one last time.

Seifer fell so deep in love with the beauty. He found out that the misterious adolence was a nearby landlord's son. "In order to have my son," stated the landlord, "you must first prove yourself worthy to love him. You will go out into the forest, find and bring back a single red rose." Seifer joyfully departed out to complete his simple assignment, eager to return.

While Seifer was away, Galbadian Soldiers invaded the youth's home. The landlord was brutally stabbed. There were twelve soldiers altogether. All twelve of these men took turns raping the helpless brunette. They then tied one rope around his neck and two others around his ankles and wrists.

While a single sleeping agressor took watch on the bounded prize, the brown haired boy managed to grad ahold of the watchman's pistol. A lone shot was fired. Then silence..... The brunette stared up towards the heavens. Ignoring the pain in his side, he whispered, "I'll be here, waiting for you.....forever..." He died....

When Seifer returned from his excursion, he saw this dreadful display. I pained him to see his love lying still...cold....drenched in his own blood.... .....Dead.....

Seifer clutched the simple rose in his hands. Untying the beauty, Seifer carried him up and lay him down on a bed inside the house. "I'm sorry, darling," Seifer said quietly, stroking the boy's chocolate hair," I've failed you..." He said a prayer and made the sign of the cross. "A rose for a rose, my beauty." He placed the rose in the youth's stiff hands. Kissing the boy's forehead, Seifer made his way out of the house. Unaware of the soldiers' presence, Seifer was suddenly shot in the chest by two hidden men. As Seifer lay dying on the cold, hard, ground, it began to rain. He turned his head slightly and saw the same beautiful auburn-haired angel, standing out in the middle of a vast field, scowling, running a hand through his brown locks, clutching the rose in his other hand on this dark night.
