Author's Note: Just a short one shot I wrote this morning. I don't hate Dawn, I just got this idea a little while ago and I wondered what would've happened if Willow had turned Dawn "back" before Buffy had gotten to her. The idea wouldn't leave me alone so I wrote this. I hope you all like it.
"I understand the crying, you cry because you're human. But you weren't always." Her voice was laced with venom. Her deep black eyes bore into Dawn's and her dark hair made the black veins on her face pop out. Any trace of the old bubbly Willow was gone. The magick's had sucked that girl away and left this heartless evil copy behind.
Tears started to well up in Dawn's eyes. "Yes, I was," Her voice was a hoarse whisper.
"No, please. You're telling me you don't remember?" Willow's voice was sarcastic as she slowly advanced towards Dawn. "You used to be some ... mystic ball of energy. Maybe that's why you're crying all the time, Dawnie. 'Cause you don't belong here."
Dawn trembled and kept backing away until she was gasping against the wall.
"Wanna go back? End the pain? You'll be happier. I'll be happier," Willow snapped. "We'll all be a lot happier without listening to the constant whining."
Tears stated to roll down Dawn's cheeks. "Willow stop!" She angrily protested while the tears rolled down her face. Dawn moved away from the wall and tried to move away from Willow again who was in front of her.
" 'Mom!' 'Buffy!' 'Tara!' 'Waah!'" Willow mocked her in a high pitched tone. "It's time you go back to being a little energy ball." She hissed while Dawn nervously back away.
Dawn was shaking. She wanted to scream but her voice was caught in her throat.
"No more tears, Dawnie."
"No! Please don't!" Dawn pressed against the wall. Willow was right in front of her now.
Dawn tried to push her away and run but Willow stopped her with telekinesis and threw her back against the wall.
"Don't be afraid, it's time to go back," Willow's voice was icy. "To the way you were." She began a chant in Latin.
"No! No! No!" Dawn struggled and tried to move from the wall but Willow had her stuck there with telekinesis.
Green sparks shot down into the room as Willow finished the spell and the sparks surrounded Dawn.
"NO!" Dawn screamed. "BUFFY! CLEM! Hel-" Her last scream was cut off by another green flash of light and Dawn was gone.
In front of Willow was green mist, the Key energy Dawn was made up of. The door to the room burst open. "Dawn!" Buffy shouted but gasped when she saw Willow and the energy.
"Willow, what did you do to her? Where's Dawn?" She demanded, but she had a horrible feeling she knew.
The spell had been broken, all of the fake memories of Dawn that were implanted in their minds by the monks disappeared and they could recall their true memories of life without Dawn. The only memories of her that remained was when she appeared to them almost two years ago when they had to protect her from Glory and everything that happened until the present. But those would soon be gone too.
"Right in front of you," Willow smirked and gestured to the green energy which now formed into a ball. "There's your sister." And she let out an evil cackle.
