The Creature in the Flask Part 3:

Eery winds blew through the dusk covered Salem Willows Park. Gwen slowly moved behind the attractions and beams of the park to avoid her odd looking pursuer. She didn't really know how he could heal instantly from an injury that would kill a normal person, or why he was trying to kill her in the first place, but that was something she'd have to figure out later. What was really important by this point was staying alive.

"Don't run away little spider, I just wanna give you a present. A knife through your hand!" She was broken from her thoughts by the insane mans words.

Her heart raced as his footsteps grew closer and closer to where she was hiding as the killing intent in the air grew thicker and thicker "The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout. Down came the saber to snuff the spider out." (A/N: Best line for a Marvel villain ever. Well until Loke)

The odd looking man continued down the path till he looked like he came up with an idea and began walking in the opposite direction. The goth girl let out a sigh of relief as her pursuer began walking in the opposite direction.

"Hey do you think he's gone?" a foreign voice came from behind her.

She quickly responded "Yeah, I think so. Good thing to I need to get on with this challenge" before realizing that there wasn't anyone else in the turned around to see the skull faced man right behind her.

"How's tricks?" Cedric mockingly questioned her while she jumped back with a scream. Wasting little time she began scooting herself back away from the crazed stranger.

This didn't really to much as he began walking towards her, fast just fast enough to keep up, while whistling his foreboding tune seemingly relaxed as ever while unsheathing his weapon. After about three minutes of this struggle, Gwen decided she'd had enough of this got up and punched him in the face. This didn't go anywhere, except getting an amused look out of him "Did you seriously just try to knock me out? If kicking my head off won't do anything, then that just tickled!"

"Well, it was worth a shot... And besides, are you even doing here chasing after me,in the middle of the night wearing freaky clothes?" Gwen asked bitterly

Cedric gave a mock offended look on his face and responded "Why I never. My clothes are all the rage... In the deepest pits of the underworld! And to answer your question as to why I've been following you all night. The fact is a friend of yours made me mad, but he got away before I could end his life. So I decided to teach him a lesson through you!"

Gwen look confused for a bit until she spoke out in realization "So let me get this straight. A friend of mine made you mad, but since you can't find them you're going to mess with them, by killing me?"

"That's pretty much the gist of it. Except for the killing you part. I may be a complete and total monster, but I do have my standards to how far I'm willing to go. Every monster out their does. And mine is that I won't kill a girl on purpose. There's only one time I actually did and that was eight years ago. But that doesn't mean I won't mess you up a little. And by a little, I mean a WHOLE LOT!" Cedric explained his rules on doing awful deeds.

But as soon as he opened his eyes he noticed his prey was gone "Hmm. Well that was sort of my own fault. Such a pain. The hunt begins again.". Cedric than drifted off into the darkness while memories of his first plan once again drifted into his mind.

WARNING: The following section deals with the very sensitive subject of depression and suicide. If you have been affected by either of these subjects in any way or are just not comfortable reading that kind of thing then I highly recommend you skip this section until the end markers appear. The rest of the chapter will be ok for reading.

The ten year old immortal was sitting inside the 16th warehouse on the 23rd day of June on 2003. The day mentioned on the poster he had his shadows spread out. He sat on a throne of green fire and skulls made by them to overlook what was about to unfold.

A large crowd stood on the lower level of the warehouse. Though they all looked like normal people, but in truth all of them grappled with a serious depression that made them want to end it all, but they were strong enough to do so. However when they received the flyer on that day, most go them immediately began the trip.

"Alright, worthless people of this world. We have come here to help you end you're suffering. We offer a quick and painless death at the hands of our death machines! I need each of you to line up into a single file line before a conveyor belt where we shackle you up. Once your there, you've hit the event horizon and the machine will take your life. Now begin." Cedric got up from his throne, and struck his cane down starting the process. One could almost here somber music play as the first man got up.

I can't take this kind of pressure
I must confess one more dusty road
Would be just a road too long

The line sang before a young woman who'd look like she'd recently had her heart broken.

I just can't, I just can't,
I just can't seem to get started
Don't have the heart to live in the fast lane
All that has passed and gone

And their ain't nothing you can do it

Another man in line said while watching the others go into the mouths of the demons.

Pardon me while I panic!

One who had changed his mind said before running out the door. Cedric saw this and pinched the bridge of nose in frustration.

Worthless. Worthless. Worthless!

Just then a 30 year old man who appeared to be a drunk approached the conveyor.

I come from KC Missouri
And I got my kicks out on Route 66
Every truck stop from Butte to MO

Motown to Old Alabama
From Texarkana and east of Savannah
From Tampa to old Kokomo

After he had been sacrificed an old racer past his glory days shackled himself up.

I once ran the Indy 500
I must confess I'm impressed how I did it
I wonder how close that I came

Now I get a sinking sensation
I was the top of the line, out of sight; out of mind,
So much for fortune and fame

Next, a pair of a bride who's groom had died on the way to the wedding and the man who buried him who had enough of his line of work.

Once took a Texan to a wedding
Once took a Texan to a wedding
He kept forgetting, his loneliness letting
His thoughts turn to home and we turned

I took a man to a graveyard
I beg your pardon, it's quite hard enough
Just living with the stuff I have learned.

A beachworker girl who had also gotten her heart broken by a surfer was next in line.

Once drove a surfer to sunset
There were bikinis and buns there were weenies
Fellini just couldn't forget

Pico, let's go up to Zuma
Pico, let's go up to Zuma
From Zuma to Yuma the rumor was
I had a hand in the lay of the land

Get up and go hit the highway

A strange jazzy tune began to play in the background as the final old man after hours of this walked up. He didn't let the shadow shackle him up however and lied down one belt.

I worked on a reservation

Who would believe they would love me and leave
On a bus back to old Santa Fe?

Once in an Indian Nation,
I took the kids on the skids where the Hopi
Was happy 'til I heard 'em say...

"You're worthless."

The final words rang out into the now empty building. Cedric let out a highly amused laugh before rolling his eyes back into his head to complete the next phase of his plan.

Cody was waiting for the dawn where he would take over the body from his other half. For the most part he'd been pretty trustworthy during his permanent stay in his mind. Because of this the young boy saw the creature as a close friend. He was about to see how he was.

In a flash chains from seemingly nowhere appeared and wrapped around his arms, legs, and eventually his body except for his head.

"What, what's going on here " The confused child stuttered.

"Isn't it obvious? Your mind is being overtaken. Recognize me? Probably not, since tis this the first time you've seen me like this." Cedric appeared to finalize his plan.

Cody did immediately recognize the shade of his eyes and enraged, asked "Cedric what are you doing?"

"Finishing my plans. What I've been doing since the beginning. Because of everything I've done during my time it's likely i'm going to prison, where there will be lots of impure souls to sacrifice. Once 1000 souls have been collected I'll be at the peak of my power, and that way I can do a little redecorating on this glorified ball of magma and dirt."

"How could you do this I trusted you, you bastardized elf!" Cody screamed at his betrayer before being covered by rock. Once that was over with Cedric retreated out with one statement.

"Please. I'm not an elf. I'm a banished demon. But it's not like you knew that."

Gwen had finally made it out of the park. She was sure that she had avoided the psycho and she was close to the finish line with the bed ridden Chris in her sights. It only took a few more steps before she was over the line.

"Congrats Gwen, looks like your the first person here. You get first class with your arch-enemy, as well as immunity." Chris half congratulated, half mocked the goth girl as she winced at being alone with Courtney, before a shadow appeared behind her.

"You played well missy. But now it's time to pay"

Frozen in place, Gwen accepted her fate before she saw that the onyx skin began turning Caucasian "Crap no, I'm reverting back already. I need to go before I'm exposed". He began running off before he felt his wrist get grabbed.

"Not so fast weirdo. I wanna know just what you are and where you came from" Gwen snapped with a scowl.

Cedric just gave his target a smirk and answered like a smug demon " I lurk in the shadows of those nearby, using their face for a chance to strike good and light down." Before melting in to the ground."

"Well this was an interesting day. To think we evacuated the entire city for this, and it turned out to be pretty boring. Oh well, night everybody. And do better next week!"

Tyler gave a confused look and asked "Wait what about the elimination ceremony?"

"Oh that no need. We already sent Sierra back due to anti-stalking laws in the US. They issued it to us back New York that the next time Sierra entered the country she'd be deported."

Cedric:"Halle-frickin'-lujah, I'm free! But besides the wild animal being I've pinpointed my next target. And i'll give you a hint... It's a boy. And I know just how to end them. With my most powerful spell. The Gregory Horror Show...

(A/N): The hiatus is over! This chapter didn't take very long to write, mostly cause I covered most things important to this section in the other two parts. Next time I should be going back to two parter formula which will stick for the rest of the story. But besides the fact I have some very important news concerning this story. Over the hiatus I posted a new story called Ninja of Santoryu. So far it's been my most successful story so far, but since the hiatus ended I decided to upload this chapter before the next chapter of Ninja of Santoryu. I'll be rotating between chapters until this story is over in about 4-5 months. No rec this chapter cause I can't find anything. See you next time.
