A/N: Sorry it took so long to update this story! Thank you to everyone for the reviews and encouraging PM's! I really appreciate it. I know this chapter really isn't up to par, but it's midnight and I'm sick. (excuses, excuses!) I promise to make the next chapter better (and post it a lot sooner.)
"Will Pope," Brenda Leigh said as she entered his office. "I'm surprised at you."
Will glared up from the papers on his desk and sighed. "What did I do now?"
Brenda smiled and shook her head. "No, silly!" She giggled as she walked further into his office. "I'm not mad at ya!"
"Then what is it?"
"You gave Lieutenant Flynn datin' advice!" She leaned against his desk. "I'm proud of ya! Shocked, to be honest."
Will raised his brow. "He told you about our conversation?"
"Nah, I overheard his conversation with Cap'n Raydor," Brenda responded. "Who woulda knew they had feelin's for each other?"
Will stayed silent and returned to the papers on his desk.
"Anything wrong, Will?"
"I have a lot of work to do, Brenda," He responded, sounding harsher than intended. "I would like to be alone."
"Well 'scuse me!"
Will sighed. "I'm sorry, Brenda. I just have a lot of work here."
When Will was alone, he rested his head in his hands and took in a deep breath.
He knew he did the right thing sending Andy after Sharon, so why did he feel so bad?
Will knew Sharon deserved better than him, and as much he hated to admit it, Andy was that person.
As many women Will's been with, he's never truly treated them the way they deserved to be treated.
He just couldn't do that to Sharon. He couldn't figure out why, but he just couldn't.
'She's so beautiful,' Will thought. 'And smart. and strong, and-'
Will's thoughts were interrupted by the knock at his door.
"Uh, Captain Raydor, Can I help you with anything?" Will asked, taken surprise by her presence.
Sharon entered his office and walked over to his desk. "I just wanted to personally thank you, Will."
Will faked a smile. Of course she'd be here to talk about that.
"To be honest, I was surprised when Andy told me you were the one to give him the courage to ask me out."
'Why is everyone so damn surprised? Am I really that horrible?' Will thought to himself.
"Don't mention, Captain." He replied.
Sharon thanked him once more before leaving his office.
Once again, Will was alone with his thoughts.
He sighed. "I need a drink."
