A/N: Just a random little poem I made for my Shadow and Mischief Series, which is odd because normally I have the poetical talent of a small grasshopper. Enjoy!

Lokabrenna (Gospel of Loki)

Never trust a Blood-Brother

Never trust an heir

Never trust a neighbour

Or the gods that live in air

Never trust a labourer

Or those whose souls you own

Never trust a closest friend

Or you'll reap what they have sown

Never trust a warrior

Never trust a mage

Never trust a leader of men

Or those who lie in a cage

Never trust a Beauty

Be cautious around a Beast

Never trust those called Heroes

Or you may become their feast

Never trust a giant

Never trust the snow

Never trust the flickering fire

Never let your power go

Never trust a sharpened sword

It'll betray you in the end

Never trust a hidden blade

Never break or bend

Never trust in your heart

It must stop, after all

Never trust in your pride

It comes before a fall

Never trust a holy man,

Those of faith and creed

Too alike are you to these men

Soon both your worlds will bleed

Never trust a woman

Men are beneath your trust

Never trust the slaves

Or those who make them thus

The Game is one of wit and wiles

Nothing can be left to chance

Trust is for the weak and mild

Not for us that fatal dance

Always trust a sister

Always trust a brother

Always trust a father

Always trust a mother

Always trust in your magic

Always trust your breath

There's no greater equaliser

Than the sweet embrace of death

But this last command you must endure

O dear child of mine

Never trust an oracle

Or those who speak in rhyme
