"Well since we're both sick we might as well make the best of it." The Doctor said sitting next to Donna on the couch, the TARDIS provided for them.
She frowned at him. "I blame you for this, you know." Donna said grabbing some tissues.
The Doctor rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on how was I to know humans were capable of catching Time Lord Sniffles?" He replied spreading out a blanket over them.
"Is there even such a thing?" Donna asked before sneezing several times.
The Doctor smirked. "Does that answer your question?"
"You're not funny." She sniffed.
"Sorry." He replied softly.
She smiled at him and nudged his arm. "It's okay spaceman but what are we supposed to do for fun? We can't go anywhere." Donna sulked.
The Doctor grinned. "Watch this." He snapped his fingers and a huge screen appeared on the ceiling.
"Okay impressive but now what?" She asked.
"Patience, Donna." He said.
Then a light and star show suddenly flashed on the screen bursting in bold beautiful swirling colors.
Donna stared at it in awe. "You are kidding me! It's like a fireworks show but better!"
The Doctor smiled. "I thought you might like it. It's the least I could do. I promise to make it up to you when we're well."
"This is way better than any old trip. I absolutely love it!" She exclaimed.
He grinned and handed her a steamy bowl.
"What's this?" Donna asked.
"Oh I made us some chicken soup, it's my late wife's recipe." He said swallowing a spoonful.
"You're late wife made this?" Donna asked.
He nodded. "Don't worry there's nothing strange in it. The Doctor assured her.
She snickered and tried a sip. "This is really good." Donna said.
"Glad you like it."
She took another sip. "Mm, mum would love you if cooked this for her."
The Doctor shook his head. "Oh, no I'm done with meeting other companions mothers."
She smirked. "Why?"
The Doctor touched the side of his face. "Lets just say they have nice right hooks."
Donna laughed and playfully nudged his shoulder. "You are something."
He grinned at her and continued eating.
She smiled at him thoughtfully. "I'm really touched that you're sharing this soup with me."
The Doctor just shrugged.
"In fact I can't believe you did all this even though you're sick." She said amazed.
"Why not you're my best friend." He replied glancing at her.
Donna smiled and cuddled up to him. "You're my best friend too, Doctor."
He smiled and pulled her close.
They continued to watch the light and star show until they fell asleep in each other's arms.
