The park was beautiful.

It was quite beautiful, but it made Kagome miss her home that much more with the Goshinboku and the sakura petals.

'No,' Kagome shook her head, 'I promised Kaa-san that I would do well here,' Of course, living with Sesshoumaru of all people wasn't the easiest thing in the world, 'I can have a fresh start here.'

With a sigh, she sat down on a bench in the park and placed her bento in her lap. She had wanted to eat her lunch outside on this gorgeous day, but the thought of her family put her off her food.

It was just a simple lunch of a few rice balls, but the thought of eating them at the moment was just too much, 'Maybe I'll get Sesshoumaru to eat them later.'

She didn't even bother to look up when she heard someone sit down beside her and was about to pack up her lunch again when a male voice startled her.

"Are you going to eat that?"

She immediately looked to her right where there was a man sitting there a little distance away from her. He had short spiked blond hair and was sporting a pair of sunglasses, but it was clear he was looking at her bento.

'How brazen,' Kagome wondered and shook her head, "Do you want it?" She asked cautiously, offering her bento and the man grabbed a rice ball without hesitation.

She stared at him reluctantly, wanting to know how her food tasted. She tensed when he paused half-way through chewing and jumped when he turned to look at her.

"You made these?" The man asked and she hesitantly nodded, "Damn!" He licked his lips and took another one without even asking, "What's your name?"

Kagome widened her eyes, wondering what he wanted with her name, but since she was a naturally trusting person, she didn't see the harm in giving it, "Kagome Higurashi."

"Well, Higurashi," The man smirked, "I'm Clint Barton and I think I might have a job for you. What do you say?" He offered and she blinked and then blinked again.
