Silent Surrender by DaMoyre

Poem

I never believed
There could be somebody
Who could make me feel
The way that you do

We must have been players
In a game of destiny
The first time, cease to battle,
Beginning to love.

The face of a stranger,
Silent understanding
Mutual surrender,
Hearts communicating

I'll remember that day forever,
The passage of time will not harm our love
Priceless memory, timeless emotion
A gift of peace amidst war.

Music, to wash away the fears
Silence, to drown away the screams

And I just long to touch your face
To navigate in your green seas,
To smell your breath and taste your lips,
To heal your wounds and set you free.

I never believed
There could be somebody
Who could make me feel
The way that you do...
