STORY MOVING!

After many, MANY years, I am finally deciding to pull the plug on Grimm Heir. It was a hell of a run, but the horse at this point is dead and been dragged through the mud by a fucking rotting rope at this point. About time to just bury it and get a new horse and a new rider.

The story will continue over on DragonBlitz85's profile under the title of Grimm Wars. He may not have my same style, but he has a vision for this story and the drive that I lost a long time ago.

This isn't a choice I made lightly, however, it had to be done. With everything that's happened with RWBY and Rooster Teeth, all the chaos and insanity, my love for this series and the company that gave so much joy growing up has dried out. With the introduction of more and more lore that, frankly, should have been introduced WAY sooner, I struggled to adjust and figure out what I was going to do as, like the writers for RWBY proper, I had no plan once Beacon was finished.

As time passed I also began to realize how cringy a lot of the earlier chapters were, and even thought of doing a complete rewrite of Grimm Heir, one where the Overlord had the power of shapeshifting into any Grimm he wanted, he and Salem worked together with the Witch being the Overlord's only real companion over the millennia, and Silver looking human enough to pass for a faunus (but able to transform parts of her body into claws or other grimm appendages at a whim) and sneaking into Beacon along side Cinder using magic, makeup and colored contact lenses to hide her eyes. It would have likely been way more interesting, especially knowing what we know now about the show's lore and being able to correctly mesh it with my own creation story of Remnant, but by then, it was way too late.

Before I passed over writing to DragonBlitz85, my plans for the ending for Grimm Heir were as follows. The Overlord reunites with Silver only for Yang to show up and get her ass beat. Before she is killed, Silver has him spare her, as repayment for saving her life from Rojo, though there is in fact a deeper meaning for the mercy. She thanks Yang for brining her to her Father before she and the Overlord leave, Every single Grimm around them actively avoiding the devasted Yang, by the Overlord's decree. Rojo then finds Yang and the two escape. Meanwhile, Cinder catches up to the Overlord and Silver and tries to pledge herself to him when she sees how powerful he is. Instead, the Overlord takes control of the Grimm in her body, using it to turn her into a wretched Grimm creature with just the barest traces of humanity left. He then orders Emerald to take Cinder to her master, just before he has the Grimm in the city turn on every one of Salem's Grimm, including the dragon. Flinch joins them later, having killed Glynda and several other teachers and goes off to prepare for war against Salem while Ozpin is left reeling from the attack. Cut to Patch weeks later, and everything is pretty bad. Blake is gone, Weiss is leaving, and Rojo is still pissed at Yang for what happened. Yang is sullen and broken at this point, and Rojo either stays or leaves to head to Atlas with Weiss, where he hopes it will be safer for his grandfather…

The epilogue would then cut to the shard of the moon that fell away during the Eruption. It is heading for mistral, but a wrathful force pulls it toward Vale, hellbent on gaining what the shard contains. The shard would then crash into the grave of Summer, where the Overlord buried her. With its magic, Summer would become reborn as basically an anti-Overlord, capable of creating creatures similar to the Grimm but far more discriminate in who and what they destroyed.

This is what I had planned, but whether or not its what will happen, is up to DragonBlitz85, who will be continuing the story on his own profile. He has his own vision for the story, and while it may not be the same as mine, I give him my FULL BLESSING on it. Unlike me, he still has love for this story, which gives him a determination to continue it that I do not have anymore. The Story will continue under the name of Grimm Wars, as previously stated, so check it out when he starts posting.

Thank you everyone who has stayed on this story over all these years. I am sorry to pull the plug on it like this, so close to the end, but I just don't see any other way I can continue this story without it feeling like a chore. I will never forget Grimm Heir, as it was the story that truly gave me the courage to keep writing after Papa's Snowflake. It was one hell of a journey, but sometimes, the journey doesn't end where we expect it to.

Thank you, everyone. From the bottom of my heart, for all the love and feedback you gave me over the years. I wouldn't have gotten to where I am without you all.

Have a wonderful new year, and God Bless all of you.
