Iko looked up all the Second Era movies and convinced all the couples to watch their corresponding Disney movie.
"What is this movie about?" asked Kai.
"Um…" Cinder looked up a summary on her portscreen. "It's about a maid who falls in love with a prince at a ball." She looked up to see Kai smirking. "What?"
"Nothing. Just sounds kind of familiar, doesn't it?" he teased.
Cinder stuck her tongue out at him then looked down at the release date for Cinderella. Stars, this movie was ancient. Second Era.
"How did Iko convince us to watch this movie again?" Kai groaned, propping up a pillow and resting his head on it.
"I have no idea," replied Cinder, dreading the idea already. "But quit complaining and let's watch the movie."
(Note: All words in bold and in italics are parts of Cinderella. The parts not in bold and italics are the couple's commentary.)
"No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true."
[Cinder] "That didn't work out so well for me, did it?"
[Kai] "It couldn't've worked out to horribly, I mean, you found me, didn't you?"
When the audience is introduced to Anastasia, Stepmother, and Drizella.
[Kai] "They aren't very nice, are they? What a horrible family to have."
[Cinder] "The stepmother kind of reminds me of Adri."
Intro-ed to Jacques and the mice.
[Kai] "Wait. There are talking mice? Oookay, then."
[Cinder] "I really like Jacques and Gus."
[Kai] "Leave it to you to look past the fact that there are TALKING MICE."
The prince is throwing a royal ball to find a wife!
[Kai] "Helpful advice to the prince. All he has to do is look for a pretty mechanic. Except the best one is already taken, so too bad for him." [winks at Cinder]
[Cinder ducks her head, if she could blush, she'd be blood red]
"Cinderelly, Cinderelly, night and day it's Cinderelly. Make the fire! Fix the breakfast! Wash the dishes! Do the mopping!"
[Cinder] "They're really cute. I think I do like Jacques the best."
[Kai] "...talking mice…"
Revelation of the pink dress that the mice made for Cinderella.
[Cinder] "It's a lot prettier than my dress at the Peace Ball."
[Kai] "Well, you're a lot prettier than her."
[Cinder kisses Kai's cheek, his ears turn red.]
Stepsisters tear up Cinderella's dress.
[Kai] "WHAT DID SHE EVER DO TO YOU?!"
[Cinder gapes at the screen, aghast]
Cinderella cries in the garden over her dress
[Kai] "...There's no one in the house… and obviously, the doors aren't locked… Couldn't she run away?"
[Cinder] "Kai, it's a second era children's movie."
"Salagadoola menchikaboola bibbidy-bobbity-boo! It'll do magic believe it or not! Bibbity-bobbity-boo!"
[Cinder] "She's just saying gibberish."
[Kai] "Well, whatever it is, it's working. The talking mice are turning into coachmen!"
[Cinder] "Oh, by the way, Kai, I still have the gloves you gave me."
[Kai looks away from screen to Cinder, pleasantly surprised.] "Really?"
[Cinder] "I couldn't throw them away."
[Kai blushes again.]
Arrives at palace; "So this is love, so this is what makes life divine."
[Cinder leans her head on Kai's shoulder. Kai kisses her head.]
Cinderella runs away from the palace, leaving her shoe
[Cinder] "Okay, her shoe comes off. My entire foot comes off."
[Kai] "I still have that foot… That was meant to be not creepy."
[Cinder laughs. Kai brightens up.]
The shoe fits on Cinderella! The prince and Cinderella have a "happily ever after."
"That was better than expected," said Kai, helping Cinder put things away. "Admittedly, I didn't have very high expectations." Cinder nudged Kai, grinning.
"Come on. You liked it."
"It was okay."
"You especially liked the talking mice." Kai shuddered.
"I don't know why I'm so freaked out by that. That was creepy." Cinder laughed.
"My favorite song was the mice's work song, when they were making her dress," Cinder commented.
"I liked So This Is Love."
"I didn't know you were such a sap," teased Cinder.
"Shut up." But Kai was grinning. They both were.
A/N: Next up, Wolf and Scarlet! They don't have a Little Red Riding Hood movie, so Iko picked something else out for them. I hope you found this as fun as I did! ~Aurum19
