Prologue- Another Expulsion
My names William Tepper (and if you ever call me that I'll wring your neck) but my friends call me Billy. My dad is a Contractor; well he owns the third largest construction company in the world but who the fuck cares, and his lives in New York at least most of the time.
Where's my mom you ask? Good question.
My folks divorced years ago and they sent me to boarding school as soon as they could, I was around thirteen or fourteen at the time, and since then I've been kicked out of two boarding schools…well three as of last week. The school had been trying to get a hold of both my parents to come pick me up, it took five days before my dad decided to show up, if my mom even knows about the expulsion I doubt she cares.
The only reason I was staying with him and not immediately being shipped off to another school was because they won't accept late transfers, I was expelled with one month of school left for the second semester. I actually almost completed a whole year in one school…oh well it was getting boring anyway. So until the new school year started I was stuck at my dad's place with myself for company and him going god knows where.
Contrary to what my parents believe I don't hate boarding school, in fact I meet the most interesting people with the greatest stories there, most of them being awesome pranks on the faculty or what they did to cause their parents to send them to boarding school in the first place. It was my escape from my forced isolation, from the parents who never really wanted me, it was my home.
It wasn't hard for me to make friends I've always been a social person, but sometimes it didn't feel real it felt fake, that everything was for nothing and that I was wasting my time with these people. Maybe unconsciously I was looking for something in the schools, but whenever I couldn't find it I would get myself into enough trouble to be expelled then move onto the next one. Continuously searching, and searching.
….Damn, I sound like a fucking girl must be the jet lag…
Our plane landed two hours ago we drove over to my dad's place, he pointed to the room I was going to stay in while I was here and without a word walked into the master bedroom, the bolt clicking in place. I sighed…this was going to be one miserable month if this was how he was going to be the entire time. If I'm lucky, he won't be around much and I can actually enjoy a bit of a vacation outside of school for once though I wish there was someone I could hang out with while I was here.
I walked into my room dumping my duffle bags on the floor at the end of my bed, a twin sized bed with blue and white checkered covers, and fell face first into the fluffy pillow my face sinking into it. I turned my head so I wouldn't suffocate and immediately fell asleep.
