Buffy and the Scooby's sat at the kitchen island finishing off their drinks. Tonight a new performer was doing a show at the bronze. Nobody knew his name or had heard his music. His reputation was good, so they decided to go check it out.

"Okay guys if we're going to get good seats then we better go" said Xander putting his glass in the sink. The gang headed out to their cars and were off to the bronze.

Spike sat backstage tuning his guitar, hoping Buffy would be at the show. The song he wrote was for her. He hoped Buffy would still recognise him. The last time he was in Sunnydale he had that awful bleached hair. Now, his hair was a sandy-blonde and no longer gelled back, he gave up all black and his leather duster. He wore a white sleeveless shirt, a black button down shirt with blue flames coming from the bottom and the same thing on his pants. The stage manager told him he was on in five minutes.

Buffy and her friends sat at their table waiting for the show to start. The announcer came on and said the show was about to start. The stage lights weren't on so you could only make out the figure of a man on a stool with his guitar.

He adjusted his mike, "This a song I wrote about a girl I used to know. The song's called Angel" Buffy had heard that voice before, but nah it couldn't be she thought.

"She comes home to me to me after hard night's work'in Falls in my arms and sleeps like a burden Startle, wakes up, like she don't know me Cocks back her fist like she's going to slug me Like who are you anyway And what are you doing to me?

She's an angel But she can't see it She's got wings, she can't feel She's an angel But she can't see it But she's flying above me every day Every day of my life

Bright diamond eyes with daggers beneath 'em She carries the chains of a million decisions That weren't even hers to begin with anyway But she carries them all All the people around her Never even notice that she's very very tired

She's an angel But she can't see it She's got wings, she can't feel She's an angel But she can't see it But she's rising above me every day Every day of my life"

Applause filled the bronze. Buffy realized it was Spike singing and that song was about her. She never knew he had such a great voice and she didn't know he could play guitar. After singing a few more songs he leaves the stage. Buffy says she's going to the bathroom, but slips backstage. There she finds him packing up his guitar.

"That song was about me wasn't it" she said.

"Yeah, it was luv. Now if you don't mind I've got to finish packing 'cause I've got a bus to catch" he said pushing past her.

"You're leaving? Where are you going?"

"Don't know. Wouldn't have thought you cared. As long as I'm far away from you. Tell the Bit I said Hi" Spike said waling out into the night.

"Spike, wait" Buffy said close to tears, "I realized while you were gone how much I missed you. Even Xander said it was weird without you. Also, I realized something else" Buffy walked closer to him and brushed her lips over his. "I realized how much I love you"

"I love you too, pet" Spike said sweeping her up in a kiss.

"So does this mean you're not leaving?"

"Yeah, it does. You know I wouldn't leave you for the world"
