Agony.

Burning pain coursing through his arm...
(...or what's left of it...)
...trying to control the agony...
(...do or do not, there is no try...)
...control his fury, his anger...
(...much anger in him, like his father...)
...his feelings of desperation....
Yet he couldn't

Failure.

He couldn't control his recklessness...
(...adventure...excitement...a jedi craves not these things...)
...couldn't control his arrogance and overconfidence...
(...you'll find I'm full of surprises...)
...couldn't stop denying and face the truth head on...
(...NO, NO! that's not true! that's impossible...)
...couldn't stop being a coward....
Yet he was curious

Curiosity.

Curious about the man who sired him...
(...you knew my father...?)
...curious as to why he's absent for most of his life...
(...how did my father die...?)
...wondering why Uncle Owen always got mad whenever he asked about him...
(...you can't keep him here forever...too much of his father in him...)
...wondering why Old Ben kept the truth from him....
And now he's despairing.

Desolation.

The shock and pain upon hearing those beautiful and hateful words...
(...Luke...i am your father...)
...the temptation to join his father after he is beaten...
(...join me...rule the galaxy as father and son...the only way...)
...the bitterness and despair after the initial shock...
(...ben...why didn't you tell me...?)
...moaning and groaning inside, desperately controlling his emotions....
And now he's determined.

Determination.

Determined to rescue Han...
(...priness, we'll find han...i promise...)
...determined to face his fears...
(...i won't be like him...i WONT...!)
...determined to save his father...
(...i can still sense some good in him...)
...determined not to fall into the Dark Side....
So now he is triumphant.

Victorious.

He had conquered all his negative emotions...
...agony...
...failure...
...desolation...

...had resisted the temptations of the Dark Side...
...and most of all...
...he had saved his father....
So he is glad.
