With a sonic boom Mega Latias arrived at the space center. Brendan jumped off her as she returned to normal and went into her pokeball. Brendan looked around but didn't see anyone outside.

"I thought there would be someone outside waiting for me" thought Brendan

He went into the Space Center and still didn't see anyone waiting for him. He looked around until he found someone in the back blocking the door into the command center.

"Are you Brendan" asked the receptionist

"Yes" said Brendan nodding his head

"Follow me" said the receptionist

She led him into the command center.

"Professor Cozmo, the one you were waiting for is here" said the receptionist

"Excellent" said Cozmo

"Do you have the Meteorite Shard" he asked

"Yes" said Brendan nodding his head

He took out the Meteorite Shard and gave it to Professor Cozmo.

"Great" exclaimed Cozmo taking it

"Maybe now would be a good time to explain our plan" said Steven

"Good idea" said Cozmo

"We plan to combine the Infinite Energy with the energy that come from Key Stones" he started

"After the rocket launches it will fire this combined energy into the path of the meteoroid" he continued

"This will create a wormhole that will send the meteoroid away" he finished

"Where will it send it" asked Brendan

"That is a good question" said Zinnia

Everyone turned towards her voice and saw her standing there with her Whismur.

"How did you get in here" shouted Cozmo

"Are you following me" asked Brendan

"No" said Zinnia smiling

"We are just walking similar paths" she said

"You know this girl" asked Steven

"No, not really" said Brendan

"I just met her today" he said

"Even though this is the third time I have run into her" he added

"Ahh, and here I thought we were friends now" said Zinnia pouting

"What are you doing here" asked Steven

"I came to find out what your plan was" said Zinnia

"And I find out you are committing an even worse atrocity than what happened in Kalos 3000 years ago" she said seriously

"We are not" shouted Cozmo

"This will save everyone" he exclaimed

"Then answer our new Champion's question" said Zinnia

"Where will it go" she asked

"We don't know" said Cozmo looking away

"You better find out or come up with a different plan" said Zinnia

She then walked out of the command center with her Whismur.

"Is everything ready to go" asked Steven

"You are still going to go though with it" asked Brendan

"We don't have time to come up with another plan" said Steven

"We need another Meteorite Shard" said Cozmo

"Then we will go to Granite Cave and get another one" said Steven

"We need one that is purer" said Cozmo

"Then we will go to Meteor Falls" said Steven

"I will meet you there Brendan" he said as he left

Brendan followed him out of the space center. Once outside, Latias came out of her pokeball.

"Why are you following him" asked Latias

"I am only going to help until a better plan comes up" said Brendan

"Ok" said Latias nodding her head

She changed into her Pokémon form as Brendan tapped his Key Stone as she transformed into Mega Latias. Brendan got on her back and she surrounded them in a psychic barrier before blasting off.

With a sonic boom Mega Latias arrived at Meteor Falls. Brendan jumped off her back as she changed back to normal before going into her pokeball. He went into Meteor Falls and looked around and didn't see anyone around.

"Figures he wouldn't be here waiting for me" thought Brendan

"Time to look for him" he thought

He went deep into Meteor Falls and found Steven at the top of the water steps with an old lady.

"I see you are finally here" said Steven seeing him

"Thanks for waiting for me" said Brendan sarcastically

"This is an elder of the Draconids tribe" said Steven

"Hello young one" said the elder

"I was just about to tell the former champion the tragic history of Hoenn's luck with disasters" she said

She then told them the history of Hoenn being struck by meteorites. The last one leaving the crater that Sootopolis City is now in and gave rise to Primal Groudon and Kyogre because of the natural energy it released. During each disaster, Rayquaza came to save them each time.

"That is what we can do" exclaimed Brendan

"We can ask Rayquaza to destroy the meteoroid for us" he said

"I don't know" said Steven thinking

"How do we know Rayquaza will listen to us" he said

"We won't know until we ask" said Brendan

"I think it would be best to go with the plan we know will work" said Steven

Then his PokeNav Plus started ringing. He took it out and tapped it.

"Team Aqua is attacking Devon Corp" shouted Mr. Stone

"We need to leave now" said Steven

"I already got the Meteorite Shard we need" he said

He then ran off.

"Just remember to follow your heart young one" said the elder

"I will" said Brendan

He then ran off after Steven. Once he was outside Latias came out of her pokeball and Brendan got on her back. She then took off flying towards Rustboro City. She landed near Devon Corp as Brendan jumped off her back and she went back into her pokeball.

He ran up to Devon Corp as he saw a scientist run out being chased Team Aqua grunts that Brendan quickly defeated.

"Thank you for your help" said the scientist

"No problem" said Brendan

"It's a disaster" shouted a scientist running out

"What happened" asked Brendan

"Team Aqua took the control device for the Link Cable" said the scientist

"Why wasn't that already with the Link Cable" asked Brendan

"We were making some final adjustments to it before bringing it over to the space center" said the scientist

Brendan just sighed at that.

"Where is Steven" asked Brendan

"He has already left for the space center" said scientist

"I will head there as well" said Brendan

Once he was out of sight, Latias came out of her pokeball. Brendan tapped the Keystone and Latias was surrounded in a cocoon of power that when burst revealed Mega Latias.

"No sonic boom this time" said Brendan

Mega Latias nodded her head as Brendan got on her back. She then surrounded themselves with a psychic barrier before blasting off.

They soon arrived at Mossdeep City as Brendan jumped off her. She then returned to normal before going into her pokeball. Brendan ran to the space center and saw Matt lead a group of grunts into the space center.

He went into the space center and didn't see anyone around. He went towards the command center and found everyone huddled on the bleachers.

"We meet again" said a Team Aqua grunt

"Who are you again" asked Brendan

"We are the Quintuplets" shouted a Team Aqua grunt

"Oh yeah, I remember you now" said Brendan

"You are the ones that I knocked out in one attack" he said

"It will be different this time" shouted a Team Aqua grunt

"Go Mightyena" shouted the five Team Aqua grunts throwing pokeballs

"Go Pelipper" shouted Brendan throwing a pokeball

"Pelipper, Surf" he commanded

Pelipper flew up and rode a wave a water knocking out all five Mightyenas.

"It happened again" shouted a Team Aqua grunt

"Just like last time" said Brendan

The quintuplets returned their Mightyena before running away.

"Return Pelipper" said Brendan

He then ran into the command center and saw Matt standing there with some Team Aqua grunts around him.

"YOU" yelled Matt

"You are the reason that Archie is gone" he shouted

"I didn't do it" said Brendan

"That was Lucas' doing" he said

"LIES" yelled Matt

"I going to make sure you never mess with our plans again" he shouted

"All the power in that rocket should be enough to destroy you" he said

"That will kill everyone" shouted Cozmo

"I don't care anymore" exclaimed Matt

The Team Aqua grunts started back away from Matt who was laughing manically. A Whismur then dropped down and knocked out Matt while taking away the control device. It then ran up to Zinnia who just arrived.

"Good job Aster" said Zinnia taking the control device

"What are you doing here" asked Steven

"Stopping you from causing a great atrocity" said Zinnia

She then crushed the control device.

"NOOOO" yelled Cozmo

"Why would you do that" he exclaimed

"I am not going to allow you to sacrifice one world to save this one" said Zinnia

"What proof do you have of this other world" asked Cozmo

"I know it to be true, that is enough" said Zinnia

"You have killed us all" shouted Cozmo

"No, I haven't" said Zinnia

"We can still summon Rayquaza" said Brendan

"Exactly" said Zinnia smiling

"Meet me at the Sky Pillar and I will show you how to do it Champion" she said

Shen then left along with her Whismur.

"So that was her plan" said Steven

"Brendan, go to Sootopolis City and meet with Wallace" he said

"He will get you into the Sky Pillar" he added

"Ok" said Brendan nodding his head

"I will go call Wallace and tell him the situation" said Steven walking away

Brendan left the space center and Latias came out of her pokeball. Brendan got onto her back and she took off towards Sootopolis City.
