I do not own Naruto.
What if Sasuke Uchiha was broken because of the massacre but choose to empathize as a way to deal with it?
He had a family. Had. Losing them, losing his heritage – it overwhelms him. No longer can he be comforted by his parents. No longer can he belong to a clan. There is no Uchiha Clan - there is just him.
His relationship with his brother changed. He mutilated it, transformed it into something alien, something ugly. And it's so easy to be angry, so easy to waste away in his grief but such isolation breeds a yearning, a desire – to not be alone. Sasuke Uchiha desires to not be alone.
So Sasuke Uchiha did what his counterpart in all the worlds did not – he talks to people.
