You sit opposite me on the bus, I always see you first thing in the morning and last thing in the afternoon. I catch you smiling over at me from across the aisle as I'm listening to music. I notice you're kind of cute and find myself glancing over more often to watch you out of the corner of my eye. But we never talk, I've never heard you speak, I don't even know your name, and for some reason I've never seen you round school.

Until they changed the bus' seating plans. We're no longer on the same bus and I'm worried I'll never get a chance to speak to you now, I left it too late. But suddenly I'm seeing you around school, all the time, you're always there, grinning at me as we pass in the hallways, the corridors of this school, full of blind corners, and the number of times I've nearly walked into you…

So many times I've nearly walked into you, then that one time I did, we both fell on the floor, your books dropped everywhere and I helped you pick them up. I asked you why I'm suddenly seeing you everywhere, "it's like you're following me" I joke. "Well, I sort of was" you reply, "after they moved me off your bus I didn't want to stop seeing you, I'd developed a bit of a crush." "Well, that's funny" I reply with an uncontrollable smile. "Funny," you frown, you're worried I'm judging you, that I think you're a joke so I elaborate quickly. "Yeah, cause I've got a bit of a crush on you too. I'm Dan by the way." "Phil," you reply with a grin. "Well would you like to go out on a date with me Phil?" I ask and your smile grows. "I'd love to" you reply as I hand you the last book left on the floor.
