A/N: Mikiri is my OC, but this tiny little tidbit is focused on Kakashi. Just imagine any other character or OC in her place. Enjoy! Or at least try not to suffer.
Kakashi was not in the best mood. The children they had been hired to escort took a special sort of pleasure from running off and hiding. Turns out the parents just wanted some high end babysitters and decided to make up some story about kidnappers and dangerous relatives. The only danger those miscreants had been in was from Kakashi losing his composure and knocking some sense into them. It took a lot to get him to that point, and he had reached it within the first hour.
At the very least it was over now, and he was on his way home. But of course Mikiri wouldn't be home. She got real missions unlike his child rearing ones so she would be out a few more days. His frustration with today's mission was only going to build on itself. He slowly made his way up the stairs to their little apartment. Finally at the door, he unlocked and opened it.
He looked inside and saw the most welcome sight he had ever laid his eye on. Mikiri was walking through their kitchen. She had made it back early. Barely restraining himself he asked a question that he sincerely hoped had a negative answer. "Are you injured in any way right now?"
Mikiri who had smiled when he walked in, looked a bit confused as she answered, "no, why-"
She didn't get a chance to finish her question. Kakashi had her pinned to the counter behind her, his hand at the back of her head, ensuring his kiss was as forceful as he meant it to be. When he broke away to see if she was irritated with his actions, she simply grinned and spoke, "Guy's here," nodding towards the living room.
Before Kakashi could turn to see him, Guy piped up, "No, he's not. The fire of youth cannot be put out or impeded when it burns such as this. You kids have fun." And with that and a wiggle of his eyebrows, he was out the door.
"You heard the man," Mikiri said, running her fingers through his hair. After a moment, his headband fell off in her hand.
"Please tell me you still never want to have kids."
"Oh god never."
"Good." With that Kakashi picked Mikiri up and carried her to their bed. He tossed her on it and began to remove his vest and shirt. Mikiri went to follow suit, but Kakashi shook his head.
Mikiri put her hands back on the bed. "Next time you ask me if I'm injured, I don't care if I'm moments from death, I'll say no." Kakashi chuckled as he moved to pin her hands above her head. "I didn't even see you remove your mask when you came in."
"I wasn't in the mood to wait."
"Really, I couldn't tell."
"Oh shut up." Kakashi made sure she couldn't voice a retort. Mikiri did not mind at all.
