The Time of the Elves by Takato's Dreamer (rainytears)

a/n: This is a little LOTR poem I came up with while suddenly inspired in American Lit class. It is based on the elves' passage into the Undying Lands and what they think as the boats finally come for them. The P.O.V is whoever your want it to be, but to me it was the elves in general.

Disclaimer: J.R.R. Tolkein created the masterpiece and ground-breaking fantasy novel known as "The Lord of the Rings". This poem is simply a reflection of his masterpiece, a mere insight into the mystical and sad elf-kind.

Our eyes are reflecting

The distant clouds that blow

Across the ever-changing sky

Over the dark and bloody world.

Our faint candle-light is fading,

And white glow diminishes in the forest

As the lantern of our time

Is extinguished at last.

end notes: Well, that was an odd, short poem. I liked it. What do the other LOTR fans think?
