"Forgive me. I feel it again..." Kylo Ren said.

He was sitting in his private quarters. By himself, where no one, not a single soul, would see or hear what he was doing, save for the crooked helmet before him.

He was a legend. Anakan Skywalker, the great Jedi hero, turned Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith. A former paladin of the Light, who triumphed and became a champion of the dark.

He knows my struggles, my burden
, Kylo thought. Though he himself never had the privilege of meeting his grandfather face to face, he held to the conviction that in the Force, there was no true death. Not even for the Chosen One.

"I feel it again...," Kylo repeated, "the call from light. Supreme Leader Snoke senses it. Show me again the power of the darkness, and I'll let nothing stand in our way. Show me, grandfather, and I will finish what you started."

"Do you want to know what it is?"

Kylo jumped at the sound of the deep, rumbling voice. The room was filled with the whisper of a forced exhalation.

From the shadows of the chamber emerged a dark figure like a wraith.

"Grandfather! It is you!" Kylo removed his mask and bowed his knee.

"My son," the ghost of Darth Vader answered. "The Force is with you, Kylo Ren… but you hesitate to give yourself to the dark side."

"I don't know if I'm strong enough to do it," Kylo pleaded. "Will you help me?"

"Your thoughts betray you, child," Vader said. "You allow anger, fear and hatred. But you are yet to temper them with patience, cunning and discretion – these are the virtues that a true Dark Lord of the Sith requires. You are fickle."

Kylo lifted his gaze up at the spectre. "Please, what would you have me do?"

Vader raised a clenched fist. "Let me show you the true nature of the Dark Side!"

He vanished.

"Grandfather! Come back!"

Suddenly the lights went out, and he was surrounded by darkness.

"What's happening?" He instinctively reached for his lightsaber, and as he did he felt a presence fill the room – not the commanding, authoritative aura of Darth Vader, but one that evoked revulsion, almost nauseating.

"Who's there?" Kylo demanded, igniting his lightsaber. "Show yourself!"

"Hello dalee!"

"Benny! Benny Solo!" Jar Jar called as he wrapped his arms around Kylo so hard he was lifted a foot off the ground. "Moole, mole, yousa grown so bombad!"

"Get your filthy hands off me!" Kylo shouted.

"But Benny, mesa yous loyal friend!"

"You are no friend of mine," Kylo said, keeping himself at blade's length from the gungan. "How did you get in here?"

"Nutsen thing, da Force," Jar Jar answered. "But Ani brought mesa here to teach yousa!"

"And what could you possibly teach me?"

Jar Jar took a step forward and gestured towards the charred Vader mask.

"Who hooked Ani and Padme up in Tatooine? Mesa. Who gave Senator Palpy emergency powers to build a bombad army for the Republic and start the war against the Machineeks? Mesa. Who gave Count Dookie access to the Jedi archives?"

"That was you?"

"That's impossible!" Kylo shouted.

"Search yous feelings, yousa know dis true," Jar Jar answered.
"People say mesa just lucky, but mesa am the most powerful force-user ever!"

"No! I will never submit to you!" Kylo started to swing his saber frantically, but the gungan merely dodged each strike. "I'll kill you! I'll kill you!"

In the stateroom next door to the chambers of Kylo Ren, General Hux was enjoying his own "alone time."

"You give power to tyrants and overthrow governments. Show me this power, which you wielded to bring the Republic to it's knees so that the Empire could rise!"

Hux lifted his gaze to the body trapped in carbonite that hung on the wall – a gawky amphibion with long, floppy ears and a duck-billed snout.

"Give me this power that the First Order may succeed and your ways may prevail, Supreme Leader Binks."
