Rating: G
Fandom: Magician. A lovely 7 book manga about a magician named Ryuiichi, his girl ward named Yukari, and the many friends and family therein. Improbably actions and plots mixed with gorgeous style and lovely sentiments. *g*

These are the things Yukari likes.
She likes watching flower petals, diamonds, and white doves fly from Ryuuichi's fingertips. She likes sipping champagne and feeling her cheeks flush and being up past her bed time. She likes it when she falls asleep and Ryuuichi has to pick her up and put her to bed. She doesn't remember those times, of course, but she can imagine him cuddling her close, maybe smoothing down her dress cause he's neat like that, and giving her a good night kiss on the forehead.
She likes it when he kisses her gloved fingers, or sometimes her cheek, or maybe the back of her hand. She likes when he bows to her and calls her 'My Lady'. She likes when Ryuuichi and Aniiru stand close together. She can see how they're brother and sister. Ryuuichi always remembers to look over at her, he knows all about loneliness, and mouths, 'My Lady', when he spends a lot of time with Aniiru along with a funny little bow. Then Aniiru looks back too and smiles. If she's a lady, then Aniiru's a princess.
She likes Aniiru and Edward standing together. Whenever they're together, everything else fades out and becomes the background to their portrait. It's a bit like standing in front of a beautiful piece of art. Then Aniiru smiles, and so does Edward, and they invite her to tea, and they become more like family. They step out of their pictures to play with her, just like she imagines her dolls do while she's sleeping.
She likes when Roy and Ryuuichi stand together. They're not the portraits that Aniiru and Edward become, but they aren't the family that she knows either. They stand too close together and exchange secret signals that she hasn't figured out yet. Yet. She has plenty of time though, and meanwhile, she takes these moments and presses them into her memories for later. Then, they both smile and invite her in, and she doesn't need to read for hidden signals to see that they both mean it. She likes that.
