Hey all,

Sorry to get your hopes up thinking this was a new chapter. I've gotten a few reviews questioning the writing of the last true chapter and figured it'd be easier to explain in a note.

This story was written while RE: was still being published, so there was a lot of guess work on my part on how the CCG would react to a human becoming a ghoul against their will. This was before I knew about Arima's backstory, hence his slightly more sympathetic nature. I know I mentioned in Chapter 9 that Ishida had written something that was the exact opposite of what I had written. I can't remember what that was anymore but I think it had to do with Arima and Washuu clan.

Amon's characterization - this story was mostly told from his point of pov because I felt that seeing what Kaneki went through would make him a little less rigid in his "The world is wrong" belief. From the very beginning he was curious about Kaneki and finding out Kaneki used to be a human would soften his belief a little. Not by a lot but just enough to make an exception which would pave way for a change in belief at a later time ("This ghoul is ok b/c he's not really a ghoul/ it was forced upon him" would end up as "Not all ghouls are bad").

CCG and its quick fall - This is entirely on me. I was experiencing burn out near the end and wanted to finish the story quickly before it ended up in hiatus forever, which is why the ending is rushed. Hence, it's more of an expanded summary. The last two chapters are more of after thoughts that were written at a later date and posted for fun.

I hope this clears up some confusion on why some things were not touched on (the V clan, for one. I think that was something that was expanded on more after I had finished the story).

Thank you all for the support and reviews. I know this story has been finished for a while but I just wanted to give an explanation for those wondering. It might not be satisfactory but it's the truth.

I don't intend to add more chapters or explore other characters p.o.v. I haven't been in the Tokyo Ghoul fandom for some time and I have other stories that I am trying to update and finish but I'm going at a speed that a tortoise would find slow.

It was a fun journey while it lasted.
