Chapter 15: Dumbledore's Army

The tunnels were dark and damp, spiders scuttling away as the eight feet trampled through. Rose, inheriting her arachnophobia from her father, was holding on to her boyfriend's hand tightly, nearly breaking it, though he didn't mind much as his tall and looming stature made him slightly claustrophobic in tight spaces. Neville Longbottom was leading the way with a small illumination coming from the tip of his wand. Al was in the middle, still trying to wrap his mind around the fact that his family had been residing at Hogwarts for all this time.

The trio had been informed that the family members that were the age to go to Hogwarts had taken on new identities that they used in classes and with fellow students. The only people that knew of their true identities were members of the Order of the Phoenix and a select few members of Dumbledore's Army.

Albus, Rose, and Scorpius had heard many times of the infamous club that Al's father had headed during his time at Hogwarts, and they all knew of the large part the Army had in the Battle of Hogwarts. Now, meeting the people who had helped save their parents' lives was exciting. They would finally get to put a face to the names of those who passed. However, this also meant that the Battle of Hogwarts was looming near, and they had no way of returning home.

After what seemed like hours of constant turns that not even Rose, the brightest witch of her age, could remember, Neville stopped at a stone wall. Tapping his wand against a select few cracks in the stone, much like the entrance to Diagon Alley, the wall disappeared, and Neville stepped through to a brightly lit room that had cots set up against the walls and a radio station that was constantly playing.

"Welcome to the Room of Requirement." Neville spoke to the trio who looked in awe at the grand room filled to the brim with people. Suddenly, Rose spotted a mop of messy red hair and quickly flung herself on her brother.

Hugo clung to his older sister, crying in relief that she was okay. "Oh Merlin, Rosie! I thought you had died." He whispered to his older sister, not wanting to give away any identities. Rose nodded into her brother's shoulder, sobbing.

Meanwhile, Albus and Scorpius were being hugged by various cousins and friends, being welcomed back much in the same way that Rose was. Behind them, someone cleared their throat. Turning around, the family saw Neville smiling at them, as he was one of the few that knew the true identities of the witches and wizards. "Alright, let's not cause a scene." He said. "First off, Rose, Al, Scorpius; you three need to change into your robes and get cleaned off. The women's restroom is on the left, men's on the right." He continued. "Then, you'll want to eat something and head straight to bed, as tomorrow will be a day full of classes."

Neville walked off as the Weasley and Potter family laughed at how similar teenage Neville was to their Professor Longbottom.

As they were walking toward the showers, Rose suddenly remembered something that had been bothering her. "OH! Neville, sir!" Neville turned around and looked toward the girl that was his same age, raising an eyebrow at her as she grinned sheepishly. "I was just wondering what the date was?" She queried.

"April 29." He said and turned on his feet, not knowing the implications that date had on the children.

Rose's eyes widened as she realized the most horrifying thing: they had 2 days. Two days until the Battle of Hogwarts. What she didn't know, though, was that they had only two days to return home, or they would be stuck forever.

AN: Sorry for the delay. The end of summer break has been awfully hectic for me. I wanted to get this up yesterday to celebrate Harry's birthday, but the server crashed. So Happy Belated Birthday Harry! and review/follow/favorite please!
