Again I own nothing... nothing at all...

sigh

sorry for the wait though! enjoy!

It only took Kagome 30 mins to shower and dry her hair. She saw no point in styling it since shed be going into hair and makeup after sound check. No reporters were around when they left the hotel. She assumed they got tired of waiting. They did that sometimes, go off to chase another poor star. But then again that was another part of this life.

In no time they were at the venue. With ease Inuyasha maneuvered the car towards the back and into the underground garage built for celebrities. The steel door closed behind them. Miroku and Sango stood in front of them, Inuyasha had texted once they left the motel. Miroku opened Kagomes door for her as Inuyasha climbed from the drivers side.

"The band has already set up their instruments, now they're just plugging in the cords and tuning. We've got your mike set up ready to go for sound testing." Sango rattled off as they began walking down the concrete hall, both men in front. Miroku opened a pair of double doors with a yellow STAGE sign taped onto it. Stepping onto a pair of aluminum steps they walked up and onto the black colored stage. Around him people buzzed, some with instruments, some with headphones and a mic on their head. Inuyasha stood to the back with Miroku as Sango and Kagome continued to the front of the stage. Out in front of them was nothing but empty seats. Yet he was certain before long they would start filling up and it would be jammed packed.

"Once she's done with all this and getting ready to perform we'll head to the security room right across the hall." Miroku tossed a thumb behind his head in the direction he was advising and Inuyasha nodded. "We have men in front of the stage and on the sides so its highly unlikely anyone will get to her."

His ears twitched when her voice came over the speakers, a loud echo vibrating in the empty concrete room. He watched as she adjusted her ear piece and spoke again. Nodding to one of the sound check guys. Any other singer would have been a bundle of nerves. Kikyo had been a complete bitch right before and after a show. Screaming at any poor and innocent soul that crossed her path. Even her manager Naraku, hell even he reeked. Kikyo had never stopped to sign fans pictures. When she did it was only when she knew a camera was around.

He could sense a totally different aura around Kagome. She was completely relaxed with all this. Her hips swayed when the band played a chord or two and she laughed with a few of them. She was totally different than any person he had ever met. She acted different and handled herself different too. She wasnt stuck up. She wasn't a snob. She didn't treat people like they were below her, she treated them like they were her equal.

No she wasn't at all what he thought shed be.

A couple more tests and Sango came to collect her for hair and make up. He followed them back down the concrete hall, Miroku once again leading the way. They stopped in front of a room labeled 'Dressing room' and Miroku opened it. Kagome went in but Sango stopped him before he continued.

"Sit in here with her, we'll call you when she's to go on. Don't leave her, sometimes weirdos get in without mine or mirokus okay." Inuyasha nodded and walked in letting Miroku shut the door behind him. Kagome was already in a short black silk robe sitting in a swivel chair as two people busied around her. The counter before her was littered with makeup and hair product. One man went about slowly starting to curl her hair as the other began to work on her makeup.

"So whats Rin into?" She asked out of the blue leaving him momentarily baffled. With a shake of his head he pulled out his IPhone and slid it to a picture of him and his niece. It was after hed built her treehouse. She was sitting on his shoulders, one hand covered one of his eyes, the other waving at the person holding his phone. He had a huge grin on his face, his white cut off shirt drenched with sweat but happy he was none the less. She took the phone and inspected the picture a small smile graced her lips as the make up stylist worked on her foundation. "Oh shes beautiful."

"Thanks." He mumbled once he took his phone back. She reached for hers and skimmed the pictures as well before pulling up a picture of her brother. He squatted next to her, the makeup artist working around them.

"This is Souta a little over a month ago." he looked at the preteen with a huge goofy grin across his face. Inuyasha could see similarities between the two siblings. She couldn't deny him even if she tried. After a moment she swiped a few more and came across a picture of a younger version of her and a much smaller Souta sitting on a hospital bed, in between them was a frail looking woman. The woman had a warm bright smile on her face despite her frail appearance. Picture Kagome wore a forced smile dressed in baggy sweats and a tank her hair was in a messy bun. Little Souta seemed oblivious to the underlying situation. He wore a bright smile and was wearing a soccer uniform. "This is my mom a week before she passed away from breast cancer..." His eyes quickly turned to her but hers never left the phone. She was studying her mom. She could still hear her laugh sometimes. Could still remember coming home from school to the smell of cookies fresh out of the oven. Her mother never missed a beat, never missed a talent show, nor a soccer game. Not until she got sick.

"You have her eyes." Inuyasha murmured, breaking her out of her train of thought. She gasped and looked at him. Tears were ready to brim past her eyes and she knew her makeup artist would kick her ass if she did. "Give us a moment." He mumbled to the hair stylist and makeup artist, they nodded and stepped to the other side of the room. He moved in front of her and took her hands in his.

"Inuyasha?"

"Don't cry Kagome. I know it hurts, i know it sucks but don't cry. I don't think your mom would like it if you did that and the last thing i need is a ghost haunting me because i made her baby cry." She laughed as he said that all in a rush, the prickling in her eyes disappearing. "Go out there and do you." He gave her one of his crooked smiles and she smiled back. Hesitating for only a second she leaned forward and kissed his cheek.

"Thank You Inuyasha." She whispered before her team swopped back in to meet their deadline. He was momentarily silent as he was pushed back to the couch he had first been occupying. Her eyes smiled at him causing him to smile in return. She was different. He had smelt her tears as they looked at the picture and something in him twisted. He didnt want to see her cry, he knew he wouldnt be able to handle her tears. Not her of all people. And his heart told him to make sure she never cried another single tear in sadness again.

With a nod of approval the stylists stepped back from Kagome and she stood. Inuyasha tried not to look at her legs as she turned to face him. She looked beautiful, but then again she always did manage to take his breath away. Her hair was curled and falling perfectly around her, side swept bangs graced her forehead and over one eye. Her makeup was light but on point. Thick eyeliner and lashes with light pink lip gloss, totally her. She smiled and disappeared behind a curtain quickly changing into the blue jean short out fit Ayame had picked for her early that morning. Damn. Was the only thought that passed his brain when she reappeared.

"Ready?" He asked as she stepped up to him, her black pumps clicking on the concrete. She looked up at him for a moment before nodding. He spoke into his mike letting Miroku know they were ready. Miroku gave him to go ahead to escort her to the stage. With a nod to her he opened the door and walked with her out to the stage entrance. Some reporters and cameras stood in front of them. Miroku had warned him they were there. He stood close to Kagome making sure they kept their distance before walking her to the stage steps. She touched his shoulder as she climbed the steps and grabbed a mic. He swore he felt a jolt when she did. Obviously she did to because he heard her gasp and turn to look at him. "Good luck.." He mumbled. She smiled and walked on stage.

She took a deep breath and walked further out on stage, the crowd screamed as the lights hit her. With a huge smile she waved out to everyone and was answered with even louder screams if possible.

"How is everyone doing tonight!" She asked into the mic laughing at the uproar. "Well im so thankful yall could join me tonight on my first big tour! EEP i am so excited!" She let the mike fall from her lips with her hand to her side letting them get their screams out. "Do we wanna do a fast one first? Yeah i thought so! Okay guys lets light them up!"

(i dont own any songs)

I ain't worried 'bout nothin'
I ain't wearin' na nada
I'm sittin' pretty, impatient, but I know you gotta
Put in them hours, I'mma make it harder
I'm sending pic after picture, I'mma get you fired

I know you're always on the night shift
But I can't stand these nights alone
And I don't need no explanation
'Cause baby, you're the boss at home

You don't gotta go to work, work, work, work, work, work, work
But you gotta put in work, work, work, work, work, work, work
You don't gotta go to work, work, work, work, work, work, work
Let my body do the work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work
We can work from home, oh, oh, oh-oh
We can work from home, oh, oh, oh-oh

Let's put it into motion
I'mma give you a promotion
I'll make it feel like a vacay, turn the bed into an ocean
We don't need nobody, I just need your body
Nothin' but sheets in between us, ain't no getting off early

I know you're always on the night shift
But I can't stand these nights alone
And I don't need no explanation
'Cause baby, you're the boss at home

You don't gotta go to work, work, work, work, work, work, work
But you gotta put in work, work, work, work, work, work, work
You don't gotta go to work, work, work, work, work, work, work
Let my body do the work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work
We can work from home, oh, oh, oh-oh
We can work from home, oh, oh, oh-oh

One of the guys from the band sang the next verse as Kagome and two of her dancers walked up to the front of the stage and did their dance, the crowd going crazy.

Girl, go to work for me
Can you make it clap, no hands for me?
Take it to the ground, pick it up for me
Look back at it all over me
Put in work like my timesheet
She ride it like a '63
I'mma buy her no Celine
Let her ride in a foreign with me
Oh, she the bae, I'm her boo
And she down to break the rules
Ride or die, she gon' go
I won't judge, she finesse
I pipe up, she take that
Putting overtime on your body

You don't gotta go to work, work, work, work, work, work, work
But you gotta put in work, work, work, work, work, work, work
You don't gotta go to work, work, work, work, work, work, work
Let my body do the work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work
We can work from home, oh, oh, oh-oh
We can work from home, oh, oh, oh-oh

Yeah, we can work from home
Yeah, we can work from home
Yeah

The crowd erupted in another roar. Kagome laughed taking deep breaths. With a small smile she placed a finger to her chin and made a show of trying to think. She really loved this. The hype of the crowd, their involvement in it all, and the way they moved to her music. "What next..."

The screamed out many answers from her album and Kagome brought a hand to her ear, making a show of trying to hear them better. "I thought i heard Stilettos?" Another up roar and she laughed.

Go ahead and say what you're gonna say
Give it to me straight, don't sugarcoat it
Go ahead and do what you're gonna do
We're already done, I already know it
So you can take your new blonde out to get your drink on
For everyone to see
But you don't get to get to me

I wear my pain like stilettos
As bad as it may hurt, no, you'll never know
I keep walking with my head up, putting on a show
And fronting like nothing is wrong
I talk the talk like I'm a tough girl
'Cause there ain't room for weakness in a rough world
That keeps saying you were never enough, girl,
Yeah, when you get burned, you learn to be strong
I wear my pain like stilettos

So I ain't staying down, tonight I'm going out
Yeah, even if I have to fake it
A little black dress to cover my mess
So you won't know my heart is breaking
Pull myself together from the fallout of forever
For everyone to see
No, you don't get to get to me

I wear my pain like stilettos
As bad as it may hurt, no, you'll never know
I keep walking with my head up, putting on a show
And fronting like nothing is wrong
I talk the talk like I'm a tough girl
'Cause there ain't room for weakness in a rough world
That keeps saying you were never enough, girl,
Yeah, when you get burned, you learn to be strong
I wear my pain like stilettos

Yeah, I wear my pain like stilettos

Oh, oh, whoa, oh, whoa
Whoa, oh, whoa, oh, whoa
Whoa, oh, whoa, oh, whoa
Oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh

I wear my pain like stilettos
As bad as it may hurt, no, you'll never know
I keep walking with my head up, putting on a show
And fronting like nothing is wrong
I talk the talk like I'm a tough girl
'Cause there ain't room for weakness in a rough world
That keeps saying you were never enough, girl,
Yeah, when you get burned, you learn to be strong
I wear my pain like stilettos

I wear my pain like stilettos

Oh, oh, whoa, oh, whoa
Whoa, oh, whoa, oh, whoa
Whoa, oh, whoa, oh, whoa
Oh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh
Yeah

From the security room Inuyasha watched her perform song after song. She was amazing on stage. Making sure to somewhat bring the crowd into the songs with her. He watched her hips sway to her music, watched as she sung her heart out. She was definetly different than any other popstar out there. She almost put her whole self in all this, where as everyone else just sung and was done.

He watched as she said goodbye to the crowd and he took that as his cue to move to escort her. Miroku stopped him before he hit the door, concern in his eyes. "Switch to line 3, Yellow Canary is asking for you." He nodded and switched.

"Go." He spoke as he left the room.

"Yash?" Her voice came over his ears breathless, the hall was packed with bodies.

"You ok?" He asked as he scanned the hall.

"Come get me?" That was all he needed. He snaked his way through the crowd ignoring people. He switched back to one channel to let Sango and Miroku know what she wanted. Sango sounded worried.

"Take her to the dressing room to change out and then well head out."

"Got it." He switched back. "Kagome?"

"Yeah..."

"Im coming. Whats wrong?"

"Im just drained..."

"Ice cream back at the hotel?" He smiled, and it grew when he heard the smile in her voice.

"With chocolate syrup?" He opened the stage door and walked up to find her sitting on the steps he dropped her off at. She looked up when he approached and he could tell she was drained.

"Anything you want babe." She gave a small smile and held her arms up. Without a second thought he lifted her up bridal style and headed to her dressing room. Her arms were wrapped around his neck and the crowd outside seemed to part ways. Miroku and Sango was there the moment the doors opened, after making sure she was okay they put a stop to any pictures.

Her hot breath fanned over his neck, her forehead to his cheek, as they made their way to her dressing room. Miroku and Sango kept everyone outside the doors busy as Inuyasha kicked it shut behind him. He didn't give a damn about no reporters. Something was bothering his Kagome and he was determined to figure out.

"Seems im interrupting something?" Kagomes head lifted with a snap and a growl escaped Inuyashas throat, his grip tightening around Kagome.

The man before them reeked of evil and betrayal, and judging from the tightening grip on his shoulder Kagome knew who he was. His long black greasy hair was pulled into a pony tail. His suit was nothing but black bringing out the blood red color in his eyes. His evil sneer didnt leave his face, not even when Sango and Miroku entered behind him.

With as much strength as she could muster Kagome asked. "What are you doing here Naraku?"

this feels short -.-" Sorry guys! Ill update asap!
