Chapter One: Bloodbath

As the elevator comes to the stop I can see which terrain we'll be in, where I will die, but guess what I have no idea where to go obviously they've changed the games this year so you can choose out of eight terrains to travel around, trying to survive. They must have gotten bored of people dying of natural causes, that can only mean one thing: they have a lot of traps around here, yay.

60…

Wow, a whole minute, how generous of them. I have to 1) figure out which terrain I'll run to 2) figure out which pokémon to use 3) decide what to take from the gleaming bronze cornucopia and 4) try to not step off the podium nervously and get obliterated in the process.

40…

Well complaining really didn't help did it? Damn it! Think, Think!

25…

I swear that Kanto tribute is staring at me, but I'm just a Kanto tribute how exactly am I a threat? Did I forget to mention the: six districts: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Kalos, and Alola, two boys, two girls, capital Unova, whom everyone hates, 56th year, got reaped. So yeah basically I'm going to die. I had got reaped easily because I have a party of three pokémon- thirty more slips, tesserae- 30 more slips, (15 per person, it's just my dad and I) age- I'm sixteen so sixteen more slips, and a bunch of other stuff, so yeah, obvious.

5…

OH NO, OH NO! I haven't been taking this seriously, I still haven't planned anything. Panic mode ON!

1…

I'm going to die…

BEEP

I throw the first pokéball I can wrap my hand around and yell "ULTRABALLS, NOW!"

In a blue flash Leafeon appears and manipulates magical leaf's winds to bring a pack of ultraballs onto her back in the process using it to faint a Prinplup. "Bonus" I say before realising I'm meant to being doing something. I scramble to get my hands on a sword almost being torched by a torkoal's flamethrower.

Then Leafeon and I run into the Boreal forest dodging arrows and attacks.

I returned Leafeon conserving her energy for the next battle. From then I kept running and until my legs could barely take it anymore; I need to discuss the game plan with the team. First I let Noivern out.

"Noivern scout the area, see if there are any tributes or pokémon around" I nod as Noivern flies into the distance.

"Come on out Leafeon, Rapidash" and right in front of me, ready to attack, they appear and as normal Rapidash is aa bit too excited and hooves me in the stomach. "Ouch, seriously?" and all I get from Rapidash is a lick on the cheek whilst somehow Leafeon transfers her synthesis to me. "Neat trick, since when could you do that?"

Then Leafeon gave me this look like "Well I've never had to use it before so back off" So that's what I did. Then we planned one thing: how to get to water and how to get food, soon Noivern came back with no results. For once that's good, it was probably bad idea to send one of my pokémon off alone… Note to self never do that again.

So after I told the others about my plan we set off on foot, since the sky was way too obvious from all regions of the dome. I'm keeping Leafeon by my side, just in case.

"We've walked for ages, what's taking so long! I'm so dehydrated." I've been thinking this for about four hours until I notice something ahead: The snowy mountains, one of the twelve habitats- this is not a good place for neither Noivern or Leafeon. "Return Leafeon, come out Rapidash and don't injure me this time" I try to say discreetly as possible. Rapidash appears and luckily doesn't get excited, few. "Okay Rapidash let's get some water" I try to walk through zones but of course it doesn't work; there is an invisible barrier. Suddenly a red symbol burns above us: fire. You must have to have a pokémon of that to get in lucky enough I have Rapidash. I hop on Rapidash's back. "Rapidash lets go through the barrier" and just my luck we passed through to the icy cold…
