Before you get excited, this is NOT the next chapter!

There, now that I've crushed your excitement, here's the reason I've posted this.

Right now, guys, I am taking three summer courses for my last semester as a college student. Because of this, I have no free time at all, now. Okay, so I have had no time to work on the next chapter; I'm only able to post this because it won't take me very long to write it. I felt like this was a considerate way to let you know about this current time gap, as opposed to all the times I've made you wait in suspense months later with my usual excuse. So, with that in mind, I am going to use this to address some questions the unregistered readers asked in their reviews and just clear things up for everyone.

First off, YES, Allan Quartermain is, in fact, David's biological father, and Emma's grandfather. I actually clarified this in the bottom A.N. in the last chapter because I knew it would be awhile before I could post the next one. Which brings me to my own question: What do you guys think about that? Regardless of your feedback, I'm keeping it, so don't feel like you might say something that will cause me to scrap that idea. Believe it or not, I actually came up with that idea the week before they aired the episode that revealed what happened between David's original father and Hook.

It was something I thought would be a good twist, and after I watched the episode, I figured it would be a good way to make up for my lack of Captain Swan and to fill in the hole I made when I had Nicholas kill George. I have bounced around a bunch of ideas on when and how this would be revealed to David, and I think the lack of confirmation from Allan, and the sucker punch, was the best for my version of his character. That's what I think, but what about YOU?

Let me know in a review, please.

Now, onto the other topic I wanted to bring up in this post: the songs I used in part 2.

I was surprised at the lack of feedback I got for the songs I chose for that chapter. I only had one person say how they liked my inclusion of the Mob Song, and how they were singing along with it as they were reading. Thank you, Ghostwriter, you're the best.

So, after reading them all, and hopefully listening to them as you read, what did you guys think? Positive or negative, it doesn't matter, I just want some feedback. I'm aware I crammed just about three plots into that behemoth of a chapter, but think I worked in those songs pretty well. And now that you know Quartermain is really Emma's grandfather, you might have a better understanding of why I had him sing "Evermore" towards her.

So, if you've read this far, already, please leave a review with your feedback, please!

Now, onto the final note of this post, here's the bad news for all of you.

I have no idea when I am going to have the next chapter finished and posted. I don't. Okay, I have another six weeks of 14 weeks worth of work crammed together to finish. Then, after that, I have hip surgery the week after, and I have no idea what it's going to be like for me in terms of free time to write. And then, eventually, I am going to have to get a job. This is not how I wanted things to go. I tried to get through this season BEFORE my summer courses began, so I wouldn't be keeping you guys in suspense again. Because the longer I take to write up a chapter, the farther away I am from my original train of thought; and you've probably picked up on that over the past 100 chapters. So, just as a rough estimate, it may be until fall before I can wrap everything up.

Until then...be patient? I don't know what else to say. This is not what I planned for, or wanted. In fact, I was supposed to be done with this before spring came, but I got burnt out and switched to that GoT fic I wrote to take a break.

But in any case, I just want to say thank you all for the past four years. I appreciate all the reviews, PMs, like/follows I've received and I look forward for more; you know, as soon as I can be done with this cram session called summer school and I can get on with my life.

Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading! Hopefully, we'll all see a new chapter before the leaves change colors again!
