Just a short Epilogue to finish off this story. Enjoy and thank you for reading! =)
Previous chapter – Voldemort has been defeated, Severus and Lily married a year later and Harry and Luna were married after graduating Hogwarts.
Fifteen years later...
Harry still remembered his first time on platform 9¾. The excitement of leaving the Durley's and going to Hogwarts. The wonder of the wizarding world. The energy as students and parents bustled around, the steam coming out of the scarlet engine, the owls hooting to each other. He remembered feeling sad when the train brought him and his friends back after graduating Hogwarts, knowing that part of his life was over. Of course he still had visited his parents at Hogwarts but had had no reason to come to the platform, until his younger sister began her years at Hogwarts. Now he was here again not only to see his sister off for her fourth year but to see his son off for his first year at Hogwarts.
Not that life had gotten boring after Hogwarts. It had gotten better as he had become a big brother a year after his mum and Severus had married and eventually a husband and father. He was now an Auror along with Ron, while Hermione worked at the ministry, and Luna working as a Magizoologist. His life was exciting with work and full of the adventures that came from raising a family.
"Dad, are you sure there isn't some sort of test when you get sorted?" Eleven year old Jamie asked.
Interrupted from his thoughts, Harry looked down at his son. "What?"
Jamie sighed impatiently. He had his mum's blond hair, which was unruly like his dad's. He also had his dad and grandmother's emerald green eyes. "For the sorting. You said there wasn't a test!"
"There isn't." Harry assured him.
Jamie scowled and turned to glare at his aunt. "I knew you were lying!" He accused.
"Rosalie, are you causing trouble?" Lily asked her fourteen year old daughter as she, Severus and their youngest son walked up to them.
Rosalie, who had long dark red hair and her father's dark eyes, gave her mother a innocent look. "No, of course not." She said sweetly.
"She said there was a test to get sorted!" Jamie huffed.
Lily shook her head in amusement and put a hand on her grandson's shoulder. "Jamie, there is no test. You know that, we've told you before."
"I'm just making sure," Jamie grinned up at her.
"Perhaps Rosalie was sorted into the wrong house," Severus remarked. "She is actually a hidden Gryffindor."
"I am not!" Rosalie protested. "I'm a Slytherin!"
"A snake with the heart of a lion," Harry grinned.
Rosalie stuck her tongue out at her brother.
"Can't I ride the train with them?" Everett asked his parents pleadingly. He had begged every year since Rosalie had started Hogwarts but now with Jamie going, he really wished he was starting Hogwarts too.
"Sorry sweetie," Lily said to her seven year old son. "Not just yet."
"Your time will come soon enough," Harry told his little brother. "And you'll get to see Jamie at school. You'll get to see him sorted." He reminded Everett. As Lily and Severus were professors, Everett lived at the castle during the year, flooing to the Burrow during the day where Molly Weasley taught school for pre-hogwarts students.
Everett sighed and nodded. "True."
"I'll tell you all about it," Jamie promised him.
"I've told him about it," Rosalie said.
"Yeah, but I'll be sitting with Gryffindors and they are more fun." Jamie smirked. His eyes brightened. "Aiden!" He called to his best friend who was also starting his first year.
Aiden Ronald Weasley waved back. He had his dad's red hair and freckles and his mum's brown eyes. "We're going to Hogwarts!" He shouted excitedly as he ran up to them.
"They know that, Aiden," Hermione said exasperatedly as she and Ron approached the group, with their nine year old daughter, Sophia.
"Hey mate." Ron greeted Harry cheerfully. "Can you believe this day has finally arrived? Our boys starting their first year?"
"No. Let's just hope they don't get into as much trouble as we did our first year," Harry chuckled.
"We all hope that," Severus drawled.
Hermione looked around. "Where is Luna and Pandora?" She asked Harry. Pandora was Harry and Luna's five year old daughter.
"Luna is picking her up from a sleepover. They should be here – ah, there they are," Harry smiled as he saw his wife and daughter walk towards them.
"Hi everyone," Luna said with a smile, letting go of her daughter's hand so she could run to her father.
"Daddy!" Pandora squealed as she ran into Harry's arms. She had inherited her grandmother's red hair and her mother's pale blue eyes.
"Did you have fun at your sleepover?" Harry asked as he held her.
"Yes. We played with our dollies and played gobstones and ate chocolate frogs all night!" Pandora said excitedly.
"I can tell. You're still high on sugar." Harry said in amusement as Pandora wiggled down to go hug her grandparents. His eyes suddenly lit up and he shouted, "Teddy!" He called to his godson.
Teddy Sirius Lupin jogged over to them. He was a Metamorphmagus like his mother and his hair was blue today. He was entering his fifth year and he and his parents were close with both the Potter's and the Snape's. "Hey Harry!" He said happily.
"Excited for your fifth year to start?" Harry asked after giving him a hug.
"Not really. I have O.W.L.s this year." Teddy grinned. He glanced at Lily and Severus. "You'll go easy on my grading, right?"
"Do we ever?" Severus raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"No." Teddy laughed.
"I'll talk to them for you," Rosalie told Teddy, batting her eyes at him. She'd had a crush on him for years. "Get them to give O's."
"Thanks, Rosie." Teddy ruffled her hair and grinned when she blushed. "I better find mum and dad. I'll see you kiddos on the train."
"What was that?" Severus demanded after Teddy left, staring at his daughter.
"What?" Rosalie asked innocently.
"You were batting your eyes at him," Sophia giggled.
"I was not!" Rosalie gasped.
"Oh yes, you were," Lily said, eyeing her daughter knowingly. She knew Rosalie had a crush on Teddy.
"I was not," Rosalie insisted as she blushed.
"You better not. You're too young for crushes." Severus said firmly. He was absolutely not ready for his daughter to start liking boys and dating. Nope, not even close to ready.
"Really Dad? And at what age did you fall for mum?" Harry asked cheekily.
"Hush, young man," Severus gave him a mock glare.
Harry grinned as he watched his family talk and laugh with each other. He thought of all he had gone through to get here, to this moment. The Dursley's abuse, the threat of Voldemort and he knew he would go through it all again if he had to, to get what he had now. A family he adored and friends he knew he could count on for anything. Three parents, Lily, Severus and James, who had shown him what true love and bravery really was. Siblings that he had never thought he would have and a wife, son and daughter who were his whole world. And as he watched his son and sister board the train, he thought about how life was good. And with kids entering Hogwarts, he knew the real adventure was just beginning.
The End.
