Chapter 10: Under Siege

The Yuki clan…said to possess one of the most powerful kekkei genkai in the world. Said to possess the most beautiful people in the world. Said to possess the coldest hearts in the world. As they stood there, looking at the cornered Uzumaki with complete apathy, Naruto could not help but agree.

One of them stepped forward and pressed his hand on the water bubble that surrounded the barrier. The Uzumaki watched in trepidation as ice appeared around the shinobi's hand, before it slowly spread out, turning the water into ice.

On board Tide Breaker, the ship's captain, Akinari, had a mind that was racing quickly at the new turn of events. The Yuki clan were a very dangerous clan to be enemies of. They were one of the few clans that the Uzumaki made sure to avoid crossing at all costs. They weren't infallible. They were just really, really difficult to fight.

This was the reason why the Uzumaki had actually fostered peace with them many, many years ago. Their relationship was so good back then that the Yuki clan actually helped them take on the Hozuki clan. Now though, the tables had turned. The clan that they had long thought to be their allies had sided with their enemy. The question was why?

"Why are they doing this?" Akinari heard the voice of the blonde cabin boy that served on his ship whisper quietly. "Aren't we supposed to be allied with them?" The boy was referring to the Yuki clan.

"It does not matter." Akinari said, looking at the ice that continued to freeze the water that was above their barrier. "They are our enemies now. Get ready to fight them all."

Naruto looked at the ice that was forming around them. The figure that seemed to be holding the water in place had long since vacated it, choosing to stand on the surface of the dome. Next to him were six other men and women that he had not seen before.

"That figures…" Akinari said, narrowing his eyes at the men and women that had not been there before. They had not dropped out of the ice mirrors with the Yuki clan members. In fact, they looked nothing like the clan of androgynous shinobi. They looked a lot more like the figure that had trapped them with the water dome.

The Hozuki clan were not a clan of extremely powerful shinobi, so for one of his men to have sensed them from so far away, before they had even appeared on the horizon, meant that they must have merged together to form the giant wave that now encircled their barrier. The others must have held the water in place while the figure that they had been speaking to spoke with them. He must have been their leader, Akinari theorised.

The gathered Uzumaki shinobi watched as the dome of water was fully turned into ice. It was absolutely freezing at that pointing, with every Uzumaki crew member freezing from head to toe, shivering as they stood in place, waiting to confront the enemy at their captain's orders.

Naruto and his clansmen were in a huge dilemma. They could drop the barrier that had protected them from the initial attack and blast their way out of the ice, but then they would be outnumbered and outmatched. Both of the clans that they were about to confront were masters at ocean combat. The Uzumaki were no slouches in that department either, but when compared to a clan that can freeze water and another that can become one with the very same water, then there really was no contest. At best, all they could do was control its flow.

Their best choice of action, as far as Naruto was concerned, was to just wait inside the barrier, and hopefully not shiver to death.

In an act of complete defiance to Naruto's original train of thought, the Yuki clan members went through a string of hand signs and said, "Hyōton: Makyō Hyōshō (Ice Release: Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals)!"

Naruto and fellow clansmen could only watch as the cold air around them, inside the barrier, quickly solidified into ice. More specifically ice mirrors. Ice mirrors that surrounded the entire ship inside the barrier.

"Destroy those mirrors!" Akinari shouted, but it was too late. Instead of Yuki clan shinobi using the mirrors to get inside the barrier, water came flooding out of the mirrors instead. More than a dozen mirrors had large torrents of water travelling from the mirrors outside the ice barrier, through the mirrors inside the barrier. The water came down on the crew so hard and so fast that it washed them all away. No one was safe. It was the equivalent of getting an entire waterfall fall on top of you while you were trapped in a confined space.

Naruto and his clansmen rolled and tumbled inside the water, as they tried, and failed, to find a way to stabilise themselves as the power of the water was just too much for them. It carried them to and fro, bumping a few shinobi into each other, causing a few to suffer concussions as they bumped heads, and for others to lose the air that they had been holding in their lungs.

The water continued to pour into the enclosed area rapidly, quickly filling it up. The entirety of the ship and crew were completely submerged in water. There was no pocket of air available for them.

Short term, this was not a problem for them. Being islanders meant that they had an unnatural ability to hold their breaths for really long periods of time, thanks to the constant swimming they did. Long term, they knew that they were screwed. They could not hold their breath forever, and eventually they would drown.

Naruto was panicking at this point. There was no way he was ready for any of this. No amount of training could prepare you for this. None whatsoever. He might not have been tumbling like tumble weed in the wind any more, but he was not the best at holding his breath. He could feel himself run out of air in his lungs. He could not think of anything but his impending death at that specific moment.

So much for being a genius.

A few weeks ago the Yuki clan had been approached by a person that none of them knew of. They had immediately tried to kill this person, seeing as how he had waltzed into their secret hideout. Fortunately for the man, he had a silver tongue that quelled the Yuki clan long enough for them to hear him out.

He spoke his desires with conviction, stating that he could help the Yuki clan with what they wanted, and in exchange they had to help him as well. He promised their leader something that only she knew about. The rest of the clan only had to do one thing: Kill the Uzumaki clan.

This was going well so far, with the first strike from the Yuki clan being a huge success. The downside to their arrangement with the stranger was that they had to work with the Hozuki clan. This was something the Yuki was not too fond of, considering that the Hozuki were way beneath them as far as they were concerned. However, that was a story for another time, as they had a mission to complete.

The clan moved in unison, showing how well versed they were in working together. They did not have to utter a single instruction. They just knew what they had to do; and what they had to do now was freeze the Uzumaki where they were. Unfortunately, they were not working alone. As the Yuki clan took several strides forward, they were suddenly blocked by a massive wall of water, followed by the voice of the lead Hozuki shinobi, "Stop!"

"Hozuki-san," one of the androgynous shinobi said coolly, "what is the meaning of this?"

"It's Mizuko, Yuki-san." said the lead Hozuki shinobi, "And we're going to watch them drown." The water wall went down, showing that the Uzumaki clan was indeed still trapped in their sphere, suffering from their lack of oxygen.

"Your clan's ways are barbaric." the lead Yuki shinobi said calmly.

"Don't make it seem like you were all going to hug them." Mizuko stepped forward, challenging his ally to question his methods.

The Yuki clan were notorious for their cold demeanour. It was great in negotiations, "Maybe not, but it's certainly better and quicker than drowning."

Mizuko was now in front of the extremely handsome shinobi, "Yeah, well, don't forget who's leading this mission."

The lead Yuki clan shinobi narrowed his eyes. He and Mizuko stared at each other intently, looking for a single weak spot that they could try and exploit, but they found none in each other. In the end, the Yuki clan shinobi acquiesced since he and his clan were following the orders of the 'superior' open waters combatants. "Stand down." was all that was said, and all of the Yuki clan members remained where they stood.

"Good." Mizuko's grin was predatory as he turned to look at the pathetic Uzumaki squirm for every last bit of oxygen, "Now, let's watch some Uzumaki become seafood."

Naruto did not know what happened. One moment he was drowning, feeling the last bits of oxygen leave him, and the next thing he was being pulled upwards by someone. He felt like it was futile, and if his muscles were not burning up at that precise moment, he would have fought off the man that was wasting his time trying to save him by swimming around in a water filled ice dome.

Imagine his surprise when he and the individual carrying him broke through the surface of the water. He took a giant gulp of air instinctively, feeling himself shake in place as he and the person that had grabbed him took huge gulps of air. It took him a few seconds for his eyes to adjust, and when they did he realised just how close he was to the ice that surrounded them. The barrier was gone. Meaning that the two shinobi responsible for it had either cancelled it, or the more likely option was that they were dead. They were still inside the ice dome, yet they somehow could breath.

"Whuh- what's…" was all he could splutter as he took more gulps of precious air. He looked to the side to see who it was that had rescued him, and found Akinari, slowly pulling himself to stand on the surface of the water. Looking past the captain of Tide Breaker, he saw that several of his clansmen had also made it to this air pocket within the ice dome.

Akinari, now standing straight, offered a free hand to Naruto, which the boy gladly took. He used the water walking exercise to stand on top of the water like the rest of his surviving clansmen. Taking this momentary respite to look around, the nine year old boy saw that a lot of his clansmen had either been killed by the initial water assault or they had drowned. One person in particular was missing from those that had surfaced.

"Oh no." Looking down into the surface of the water, Naruto tried to find any person that might have been moving on their own, unassisted by water's current (as that signified that they were dead), but he unfortunately found no one.

"What is it?" Akinari asked, although he could already guess what was going on in the young boy's head.

"Akira…" was all Naruto said.

Indeed, the quiet boy was nowhere to be seen among the small surviving Uzumaki. He had probably drowned.

Akinari did not saying anything to the young boy, knowing full well what type of feelings were going through his head. He had also lost friends in battle before, although he was much older when that first happened, thus he was better equipped to deal with it. He watched as the boy leaked tears from his eyes. Or perhaps it must have been the water that was dripping from his hair? He could not tell. He did not bother pointing this out, instead he focused on the bigger picture. Making sure that they somehow managed to survive this seemingly impossible scenario.

Naruto continued looking down, trying to see if he could find anyone there that was moving. Especially Akira. He did not understand why he felt the sudden urge to cry over the boy's possible, and probable, death. They were nowhere near being friends, being acquaintances at best, and yet Naruto felt his chest heave in a manner that was unlike that of a few moments ago when he was trying to breathe after holding his breath for a really long time. Unfortunately for him though, he found no sign of Akira.

"Alright sailors, listen up!" Akinari's voice boomed, causing Naruto to snap out of his thoughts long enough to register than man's words. "We have been ambushed by an enemy that vastly outnumbers us, and most probably has vastly more power than us."

Every surviving shinobi huddled in closer to their captain subconsciously as he continued speaking, "Now, I've bought us some time with this small pocket of air, but we need to come up with a way to not only break out of here, but also how to fight them." he punctuated his last word by pointing down at their enemies, who, for some reason, did not seem to register the fact that they were not in the water any more.

Thinking about it now, the shinobi outside the man made ice dome simply faced forward, looking only at the bodies that were floating in the water down below and not at them, who were alive and kicking – representing the clear danger in this scenario more than any dead body would.

"Why aren't they attacking us?" a random sailor asked the question that was on nearly everyone's mind. "Don't they see that we're no longer in the water?"

"They don't." Akinari responded, "In fact they don't even know that we made an air pocket for ourselves."

"We did this?" Naruto was the one that asked this time, "When? How?"

"Look closely at the ship down below." Akinari instructed, getting all of them to look at the now completely destroyed Tide Breaker, "I put a Mizu Fūin (Water Seal) on the ship, sucking up some of the water, and then I put a genjutsu around us to mask our movements."

"Taicho, you know genjutsu?" someone that Naruto could not see asked.

"Yes. I'm one of the few shinobi from our clan that know how to use it." Akinari said, "I'm no master at it, just functional enough to know how to alter perception." While he had been talking to his men, he had been trying to figure out a way to get them all out of there. He was keeping them all calm by speaking with them in an equally calm manner, giving them confidence that was all bravado, with no real substance. While he could definitely slice the ice open with the Suidanha, the problem came with what would happen as soon as he did.

The remaining shinobi were less than twenty. The enemy had a similar amount of man power. Most of them did not have armour on, Naruto included. This was not a problem. The problem was that most sailors are not powerhouses. They are competent at ocean combat, but that is when that competency is being compared with normal shinobi that are not used to this style of combat. When compared to the Hozuki and Yuki clans, however, they might as well be cabin boys.

Speaking of cabin boys, one of them was dead. The other was trying to keep a level head, but he could see that the boy was falling apart. He was nowhere near ready for this type of scenario. Unfortunately for him though, he had no other choice but to shoulder the burden of this fight, even though it probably meant that he would die. Such was the tale of the modern day shinobi. Death before your thirtieth birthday.

"Sailors!" Akinari said, getting their attention once again. He had resigned himself to the only possible outcome of this scenario. Fight their way through the two mighty clans of Mizu no Kuni, or freeze to death. The genjutsu would not hold up forever. "I'm going to cut open some space for us to move through. Once we're outside this ice prison, expect enemy fire."

They all looked rather grim, as they all could surmise the outcome of the battle. No one needed to spell it out for them. They were probably going to die. All of them.

"Do not be afraid." the captain said, "They may outnumber us, and may be the more dominant force when fighting in open waters, but do not be afraid. For we are Uzumaki. The clan with the mightiest Fūinjutsu of them all. We may be the hippie clan, but we are a powerful clan. Now, go out there and show these bastards what it means to pick a fight with us! Show them our undying Uzumaki fighting spirit! Make them regret ever getting up in the morning and thinking that they could take us on! For we are Uzumaki! We are the clan that can control whirlpools, slay men considered to be gods, and destroy creatures thought to be unkillable! Make these bastards bleed out of every hole in their body."

Every single person within the dome, save for the captain, had a hopeful look to them. The entire time the man had spoken with a neutral rage that seemed to be burning beneath the surface, but he then took on a menacing look as he stared them all down and said, "Show them the true might of the Uzumaki clan."

The shinobi that had attacked the Uzumaki were all just watching as one by one all the Uzumaki drowned. Only a few of them remained, and Mizuko had a sadistic glee in his eye as he watched his enemies succumb to nature. He hated the Uzumaki. Nearly, if not all, Hozuki did. They were pretty much breastfed hatred for the clan of Fūinjutsu masters. All thanks to a war that involved his ancestors and their ancestors. Hopefully they (his ancestors) would be proud of what he and his clansmen had accomplished today.

His mirth was cut short by a shadow that came out of nowhere. Acting on pure instinct, he liquefied his body, becoming one with the ocean just as a huge chunk of ice fell on the spot he and a few of his clansmen had been in. Or at least he had been in. Mizumi, a kunoichi that had stood beside him, was not so lucky. The water suddenly had a red tint to it.

The ice splashing on water was followed by a small torrent of kunai and shuriken that had been thrown by a small horde of Uzumaki shinobi descending upon them all. The kunai got one or two of the shinobi that had been opposing the Uzumaki, but the rest managed to evade them with little to no trouble at all.

When Naruto touched down on the water outside the dome, he quickly ducked behind the chunk of ice that had fallen on their enemy, using it as a shield from the ice shuriken that had been flung their way by the Yuki clan. He had been joined by a young man that looked to be in his mid teens, looking scared at the prospect of either fighting the enemy, or possibly getting impaled. He could not blame the older boy. He had similar reservations.

Naruto took out a kunai from his stash that had already been wrapped in ninja wire and flung it at the enemy as soon as their initial barrage of ice shuriken had slowed down when they saw the futility of trying to get to him. Or it could have also been that they were now being occupied at a close quarters level by a few of the older members of his clan that were still alive.

Either way, no one paid the kunai much attention, until it suddenly grey in size to be the size of a regular human. The Yuki clan shinobi that had been targeted ducked a second too late, getting his left arm cut clean off by the oversized weapon. Upon completing its task, Naruto tried to pull it back, only for his vision to suddenly be obscured by water that rose out from underneath him and quickly tried to surround him. Naruto realised that this was probably a Hozuki clan member utilising their body to try and trap him in it.

A quick substitution with the arm he had severed saw Naruto standing within the Yuki clan's ranks, next to the man whose arm he had cut off. There was a split second as they both just looked at each other, trying to read the other's mind, daring each other to make the first move. The man had been covering his arm in ice to try and slow down the blood loss he had incurred thanks to the cut, and as a result, he had no free hand. Naruto noticed this and acted quickly. Shoving the man away from him, Naruto cancelled the flow of chakra to his feet and quickly descended below the water just as the man freed his hand and attempted to try and shoot an ice shuriken at him.

Upon realising that he had missed the boy the man looked at where the boy hand descended and thought of creating a huge block of ice to trap the boy underneath the water; but before he could do that he suddenly exploded in a shower of gore and guts, never once noticing the seal that the boy had placed on him.

By the time the closest Yuki clan member noticed what had happened to his comrade, a yoyo with retractable blades burst out from beneath the surface of the water and lodged itself into the man's throat, causing blood to splutter everywhere around him as he choked on his own blood. The yoyo was quickly removed from the man's throat before he fell on his knees, continuing to choke on his own blood. A second later he was lying faced down in the water, dead.

By now the Yuki clan knew that there was a shark in the water they stood on, and as such they targeted it. They froze all the surrounding water in seconds, trapping the would be killer. At least that was their intention. They did not anticipate what happened next. In the place where their recently deceased clan member was there now stood a blond boy who was part of the enemy. Said blonde boy had a cold and calculated look in his eyes as he raised both of his hands and slammed them hard on the sheet of ice that the two Yuki clan members had created to try and trap him below.

A giant version of the resistance seal appeared below the his palms before it quickly spread out towards the shinobi. One acted quickly by jumping back quickly, but his comrade was not so lucky. The Yuki shinobi felt himself become slightly heavy, and before he knew what was going on, he had a shuriken stuck in his throat. The man was dead just as his partner landed not too far away.

Naruto rushed passed him, paying him no mind at all as he quickly brandished a pair of kunai and held them in a reverse grip. The longer he fought, the more confident he became. It was strange really. As soon as he had cut the Yuki man's arm off he no longer felt fear. Just a clear level-headedness for the enemy that dared attack them. He did not think. He just acted. He moved swiftly, taking out one person after the next, not daring to even think about the things he had done already. Reflection would come later. Now was the time for action.

He was upon the other Yuki member quickly, ready to cut into his next opponent. It was kill or be killed. Just as he was about to stab the man, he ducked at the last second as the man's hand had been quickly covered by a thick layer of ice, before it was shot off his hand in a palm thrust in Naruto's direction. The attack missed by a few centimetres, but was enough to slow down the boy long enough for the older fighter to create a jagged ice sword. The man then launched the offensive on the boy, putting Naruto on the back foot as he batted the man's attempts to hack and slash him to bits.

While he could match the older shinobi for speed, the same could not be said for power, as the man's attacks with his sword had too much force in them, with one particular sword swing having so much force that it knocked the boy off balance slightly. The man took advantage of this and quickly cut into the boy's arm. His cut could have gone deeper, had it not been for the timely substitution he conducted with one of his dead comrades, thus sparing him from getting nothing more than a cut on the arm.

Turning to look at where the boy was, he saw the boy holding onto the place he had cut.

"You are quick for someone your age." the Yuki shinobi commented.

The boy said nothing, instead choosing to put away his kunai and instead brandished out two yoyos. He held one in each hand. One was made out of wood while the other seemed to be transparent. The transparent one had protruding metallic blades that seemed to be covered in blood. The man would have commented on the strange choice of weaponry had it not been for the fact that he was in the middle of a battle.

Naruto took a slow breath, ignoring all of the other skirmishes going on around him, before he proceeded to rush toward the Yuki shinobi quicker than he had ever moved before. He did not ponder this though, instead choosing to focus on the goal of defeating the enemy before him. He jumped up, twisting and twirling his body as the yoyos were released, imitating a spinning top slightly.

The man, although slightly surprised by the increased speed, was able to move a second before the spot he vacated was occupied by the transparent yoyo as it slammed down hard, shattering some ice.

"Ningen Yōyō (Human Yoyo)!"

As soon as the Yuki shinobi landed on the sheet of ice they did battle on he was beset by the other yoyo, with its own protruding blades showing. Another duck, although this time the man received a bit of backlash as some ice shards shot up and nicked him on his back and his arms slightly. As soon as Naruto touched the ice, the transparent yoyo was not to far behind the man, with it nearly lodging itself into the back of the man's head. A quick substitution with his comrade's corpse saved him. He was now behind the boy, and he took advantage of this by chucking the ice sword at the boy's exposed back while going through some hand seals.

Naruto, heeding his sixth sense, jumped to the side to avoid the blade. By the time he had turned around to face his enemy, the man had completed the string of hand seals for the jutsu he wanted to perform. Ice mirrors quickly formed around them both, with Naruto quickly whipping his wooden yoyo at the man before he could do what he thought he might, but the distance was too great for the yoyo to reach him in time, and as a result the man jumped into the nearest mirror and disappeared.

Naruto retracted his yoyos just as the man appeared in every single mirror around the battle that they were having. The man seemingly launched himself from every single mirror at once, creating a jagged ice sword in mid-air that he held in a reverse grip, before proceeding to tear into Naruto. The boy had a frozen shocked look as he was on the receiving end of many brutal cuts.

Then he went up in a plume of white smoke to be replaced by a piece of ice that had a seal on it.

"Shit." was all the Yuki shinobi said just as there was an explosion from within his ice mirrors. Naruto was hunched over slightly outside the Makyō Hyōshō, trying to catch his breath. This was his first true battle, and it was going way better than he expected it to. He thought he would have been dead by this point, but he was holding his own relatively well against superior enemy combatants.

His musings on the fight were cut short when he felt the ice rumble slightly, before a huge amount of ice that came out from where he had been not too long ago came rushing at him. Acting on pure instinct, he jumped to the left, looking to dodge the onrushing ice column, but that proved to be a mistake. His dodge had been telegraphed, with the Yuki clan shinobi coming right at him with his arm raised, ice glove already on it. The Yuki shinobi let loose, but Naruto deflected the oncoming ice projectile with one of his yoyos while rearing the other one back in order to attack.

That was the plan until a sharp icicle pierced him on the right hand side.

Naruto fell down, clutching the weapon that was stuck in him, feeling the cold of the weapon on not only his hands, but also his wound. The cold was mixing with the warmth of his body and the blood seeping out of it.

Looking up at where the icicle came from, Naruto saw another lookalike of the Yuki clan member he was fighting. The man was jutting out of the huge ice column that Naruto had barely dodged. He was only exposed down to his torso. His legs seemed to be one with the ice.

"I'm sorry." the man said in an emotionally distant tone as he slowly dislodged himself from the huge column of ice while Naruto slowly tried backing away. Out of the corner of his eye, Naruto saw that the assailant that had attacked him head on slowly turned into ice, before he crumbled into nothing but snowflakes. "Please know that none of this is personal. I have orders."

Naruto found himself getting angry at the man's words. Perhaps it was the complete apathy that the man had as he spoke to him, but he said, "So your order was to massacre us?"

"For lack of a better term." the man continued in his cold tone.

Tears slowly found their way on to Naruto's face. Whether they were from anger or from the slow fear creeping in of possibly losing his life, he did not know. All he knew was that he and his clansmen were fighting for their lives against a superior enemy that favoured combat of this nature.

Thinking of his clan made him turn his head slightly and see the massacre that was taking place. He could see that some of his clansmen were being doubled up on, and some tripled up on as their numbers dwindled. He saw the sensor, who had somehow managed to survive all this time, getting their face skewered with an ice sword. He watched as another was drowned inside the body of a Hozuki clan member.

He turned his head slightly and saw that Tide Breaker's captain, Akinari, had three men on him, two Hozuki, one Yuki, and he was trying his best to fend them all off. The Hozuki contingent leader that they had spoken to while they had been trapped inside dome shot a water drill at Akinari. The man had somehow procured Naruto's giant kunai and was using it to fend off attacks, which he did by slashing the powerful water jutsu in half, showcasing his own physical prowess.

That move would ultimately cost him as it gave the Hozuki clan member enough time to launch hundreds of water needles at Akinari's back.

Naruto had not realised it, but while he watched all of this slaughter take place, he had stopped moving. He was in such a state of shock, processing what he was seeing, people getting torn apart (bringing up what he had done earlier on in the fight when he cut off a man's arm), drowned alive, stabbed through their faces. All of these things started playing themselves in his mind at a faster and faster rate, as all of these scenarios coalesced into one another, almost becoming a blur. With his emotions no longer suppressed due to the pain he was feeling, he was finally beginning to process all of the horrors he had not only experienced, but those that he had wrought.

A man getting blown to bits by him, another getting stabbed in their throat. He had done all of these things. In a desperate bid to try and survive, he now found himself at death's door, with his opponent-

-He looked up just in time to see the man that had been fighting move his ice sword-holding hand back. The man stabbed down just as the fear that had been slowly building up inside the young Uzumaki ramped up. Naruto did not want to die. He wanted to get back to his home and see his friends and family. He wanted to see his mom's smile. He wanted to feel his dad's confidence embrace him. He wanted to be next to Mito…

Mito…

BOOM!

There was an explosion. An explosion that originated from where Naruto had been lying, about to be killed. An explosion so huge that it destroyed not only Naruto and the foe he had been facing, but everything around him for kilometres on end. Water evaporated instantly all around the area where the huge battle had been taking part in. Nothing was speared by the explosion, as ice melted, turning into liquid, and then into gas almost instantly. The explosion was so huge that it could be seen from miles around. It separated clouds, leaving nothing in its wake as people felt it even on the shores of the Nami no Kuni. Its force was that great.

There was one notable thing about the explosion, as it died down. While it had all of the properties of a massive explosion, there was one key difference. There was no fire. Only the extreme blinding light, concussive force, sweltering heat and deafening sound of one.

When the explosion finally died off, the ocean had already begun to refill the massive hole it had in it. The water that had not been evaporated, but was pushed away by the force of the explosion was so great that it would cause mini natural disasters on the isles of Mizu no Kuni, Nami no Kuni and would even disturb the flow of the whirlpools that surrounded Uzu no Kuni.

At the end of it all, there was nothing left of the great battle that had taken place at the epicentre of the explosion. There were no Uzumaki, no Hozuki, and no Yuki. There was only water, and only the water knew exactly what happened. If asked, it would just simply tell you that it just experienced a battle that had no victor, where everybody died.

Including a young, blonde Uzumaki.

To be Continued

Oh, damn. Naruto's dead!? I was not expecting that as much as you guys weren't either. I've written this fight three times over, trying to get the character interactions down to a believable level.

Let me know what you guys thought of Naruto and his battles.

Until next time y'all.

Peace out.
