Kawano Senri spends much of her life in a small fishing village by the sea, where her mother fills her childhood with fairy tales.
Not that she's complaining – at least, not about that part. There is a certain charm within these stories of talking animals and sentient plants that ensnares her curiosity and draws her in.
As the sole breadwinner of the family, her mother is a busy woman who still never fails to take time out to indulge Senri's love of fairy tales.
(As much as she likes to deny it, Senri will still have a soft spot for fairy tales. )
Those were good days where everything was fine and dandy, when it was just Senri and her endearing mother who changed her voice according to the characters and acted out fairy tales with gusto and never failed to cheer Senri up.
(...but those days have been long gone.
Even back then, the trees held their breath, waiting for something to go wrong, because those who are blessed – cursed(?) – with special abilities...
...it's not really a secret or obscure knowledge that they're nothing but normal. )
Ten years later, Senri is miles away from the fishing village she used to call 'home', in hope of finding a purpose and perhaps somewhere she won't be a reject. A place where she could belong to.
–but is there really such a place?
